good clean value- very nice and comfortable. Great view of the Orange River. Pleasant and efficient staff. Generally a pleasant location. In my opinion we received fair value for what we paid. We found the lounge area comfortable and peaceful.

Beautiful, very romantic and clean accommodation after a long day on the road. Friendly service. Loved the view over the Orange river. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed a breakfast with a view.

We were contacted by Belurana the day we were supposed to check in, and told that there had been a fire and all guests were relocated at the same price we had been quoted. We were transferred to Riverbank Lodge which was a lot less luxurious then Belurana River Manor. I checked on the internet and found that Riverbank Lodge rooms were R500 cheaper than those at Belurana. I absolutely did not appreciate being ripped off. I did lodge a complaint and no one got back to me. I would not recommend staying there.

Peaceful and quiet. The lady on duty for the day went out of the way for us. Beautiful garden and pools. Rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Right on the river bank with patio furniture everywhere.

We wanted to have lunch in a beautiful setting and to be near the Orange River and this was/is the place to be. The staff were welcoming and pleasant and the lunch we had was delicious. We enjoyed our short visit and can recommend this beautiful place to everyone.

The room was well furnished, equiped with everything you might need, including a massage chair. The Jacuzzi was heavenly. The breakfast spread was divine with an awesome view of the orange river. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the swimming pool and bar. Hopefully next time.

Response from guesthouseb2014, Manager at @belurana River Boutique Hotel

Dear Guest This is very disappointing to here because this was an fairy tale wedding of an beautiful couple. The Municipality pipe burst just outside of the guesthouse ( 2 pipe lines running beside the guesthouse )and we asked all guest to bath at our other guesthouse in town just to get ready . The problem was already fixed by 10:30am and to apologize we bought food to nibble on and drinks for all guests at 12am even if it was not our fault ( I assume you were not an guest staying at our guesthouse) Even when the wedding already stop at 12:00 pm as agreed we allowed guests to sit at tables not to rush them till 01:00 am just to hear our staff was still rude. We paid our staff overtime out of our own pockets and we did not even mentioned it even if there is an penalty in contract if you do make use of our wedding venue ( would love to share video and contract) Our guesthouse is winners of Wedding venue and food for 10 years in an row and this is very unfortunate to hear after most guests and children got second helping on video.( I would love to share footage with you) When guest left they thank us for lovely wedding What was disappointing was the following. After we do not allowed any drinks into the wedding venue or property guests sneaked there own drinks into reception to the value of +- R5000.00 We picked up all bottles under the tables afterwards.( This was drinks that we did not have on our bar menu) We do not like handling such matter on social media we would like to talk to you in person and share with your all the detail.

What a gem, beautiful surroundings, attention to detail, staff wonderful, couldn't ask for more. Kids playing, utopia after 800 km's. Rooms are lovely, jet bath? Really awesome. Amazing Vistas, full bar with dinner over looking the orange river. Well done Belurana

Initial reaction to walking into room was wow, but as you look closer looking tired, double bed had a thin single bed foam mattress in the middle which was not great. All still ok, next morning at 7 the whole guest house was still in darkness, nobody at reception to take a payment. At 7 quiet a few guests were standing around waiting for breakfast, several of us on a tight schedule as we have the only flight at Cape Town to catch. Staff were running late as they had to work for a venue catered their the nigh before and only got to bed. On entering the eating area had breakfast. Tables were not laid, no serviettes, no salt and pepper, a charger plate and few knives and forks were tossed onto the table. By now their was several of us milling around, a small domestic 2 slice toaster was trying to provide toast for us all. My colleague joined me for breakfast for which they had to pay R140. When she phoned to advise the owner of the experience, I as the guest got the the rudest sms from the owner stating if I did any damage to her reputation she would take legal action, up until then I had not daid a word. My experience - this place has lost one star, should loose several more!
