We arrived at Tshahitsi on Saturday 07/11 and we felt welcome from the minute we arrived. We were given all the necessary info to have a lovely stay.
Arriving at our chalet, we were met with a beautiful and clean deck with a fireplace, some nice comfy seating and a kitchenette. The room had the most incredible smell and was sparkling clean. The outside shower was a delight. The pool was clean and lovely seeing as it was quite a hot day. Overall I cant fault anything about our stay. I would highly recommend Tshahitsi to anyone.

This lodge is absolutely ideal for a one or two night stay over. We are on our way to Namibia and therefore had several special requirements. Extra power leads for camper fridges, printing Covid test results and even arranging birthday cakes - nothing is too much to ask for the energetic management team. What an absolute treat!
Please consider their other lodges / hotels. This is a decent outfit.

Perfect stop over to and from the Kgalagadi.
Beautiful, comfortable and clean rooms. Each room has its own outside self-catering facilities. Working aircons which was used during these hot days.
Also an extra is the outdoor shower.
The breakfast at the Silver Spoon Bristo is out of this world. Great variety from sweet to savoury.
And I must mention the springboks that walk freely among the chalets.

My wife and I are regular visitors to NC Famous Lodges. Letsatsi, Molopo and more recently Tshahitsi. On two occasions now the latter has been a poor reflection on the other two.

We stayed over in unit no 2 on the night of 29 05 2022. My brother and his wife were in unit No 4.

1. Since power outages are regular inconveniences in South Africa we would have expected the lodge to have a generator or a torch/candles in the room.
Except for a reading lamp in the bedroom with a faint chargeable bulb, there was a kerosine lamp on the patio. Nothing else.

2. In my brother's unit there was one pouch of instant coffee in a double room, conditioner but no shampoo and no soap. The same lack of sufficient lighting for power outages probably means all units had not been provided with emergency lighting.

3. Breakfast is a superb spread. Unfortunately, having wrapped my mouth around a spoonful of crunchy muesli I withdrew the spoon from between my lips and discovered that the bottom of the spoon was covered in a layer of cold fat.
I complained to a waitress who look at me with vacant eyes and presented me with one from another table.

My rating for Tshahitsi is likely due to a staff management issue. All the good things about the experience disappear when a few avoidable and sloppy mistakes occur, The concept of the group's offering remains sound and enjoyable.

After staying there many times, our latest experience was just not acceptable. The one thing that was always a big plus, was the breakfast. This time, there was nothing. Because the bookings in December are only 50% of what it normally is, the owner ordered that the the buffet breakfast be cancelled. We only received a breakfast "food parcel" in the morning at the chalet. This was an absolute disgrace and we left it in the fridge.

Also, watch out for the R290 Generator Levy that is charged because of load shedding.

Both our showers were blocked in the morning.

Comfort and luxury. Well equiped rooms with spacious stoeps, that is stocked with EVERYTHING ! Safe and secure. Lush grounds with springbokkies walking the greens. Berna @ reception was prepared to organise ( on a Sunday afternoon ) someone to come to the lodge to fix our tyre. This kind of service and friendlyness you simply dont find anymore. But the big bonus is breakfast : melkkos, canapes, etc etc. A huge big fire. Do yourself a favour and have supper at the Red Ox restaurant (by the same owner) and enjoy best food and selection of wine in Upington! This is more than a stop-over, this is a must if you are traveling through Upington. Value for money

Stayed at Tshahitsi Lodge on two occasions and can only describe the experience as excellent and the convenience of the excellent on-site restaurant was a bonus after a long drive.
Rooms are spacious and have a desk with adequate space to do some work.
The staff is friendly and helpful
Breakfast was of high standard

I have worked in the Northern Cape for the past 13 years and have spend a lot of time in Upington staying in all types of accommodation available.

I found Tshahitsi lodge as the best place to stay in Upington as the design and layout of this facility was excellently done, the atmosphere feels as if you live in a mini game reserve with you privacy intact. Each unit is well equipped with a private barbeque and dining aria overlooking the rest of the lodge with springbuck and other wildlife roaming freely.

The lodges are equipped with satellite TV ,effective air-conditioning and free WIFI connections. The beds and linen are of the best quality and very comfortable. Unique to each lodge is an enclosed outside shower which is very comfortable and welcome specially during summertime.

I can recommend all travelers being it for business or holiday to stay at this excellent affordable facility.

Tshahitsi Lodge is definitely the best place to stay in Upington. When I entered the gate I was welcomed by friendly staff assisting me at reception and showing me to my apartment.
The lodge has a magnificent layout and well equipped modern rooms. Each apartment offers a deck where you can relax and enjoy the pronking (jumping, springing and dancing) Springboks on the lawn in the heart of Upington. All apartments are equipped with a fridge, microwave and utensils allowing you self-catering opportunities with an additional choice to have a braai or “potjiekos”.
An outside shower allows you to cast your eyes into the night sky enjoying the brightness and colours offered by the galaxy and pretty fantastic skyscape of the Green Kalahari.
I really enjoyed the omelette prepared by the owner of the lodge at the new breakfast facility, Silver Spoon Bistro, a five star addition to Tshahitsi Lodge.
