When we were asked we said that we would like to have breakfast round 8:30 the first morning and at the latest 8;00 the last morning. We had to phone at 9;00 the first morning and then specifically requested that we have breakfast at 8;00 the last morning. At 8:30 the last morning there was nobody and we left without having breakfast. We expect a refund and we can assure you we will not recommend the place to our friends

We booked a tent, but realized it was way too hot when we arrived. When we enquired about a room with an aircon, they had no problem to move us immediately. The fact that the orange river was in full flood was an absolute bonus. Perfect destination for a stay over between Namibia and South Africa. Restaurant and bar service and food excellent. First restaurant in my life that was prepared to make me a snails starter without garlic (Garlic Intollerant) and it was delicious! What a pity that we only booked one night. I will easily go back there for a longer stay. Lots of accommodation types to choose from.

We stayed at Oranjerus the weekend of 21 January. On our arrival, we got the keys to the luxury chalets, but when we wanted to offload our suitcases, the ants attacked us. Maybe a plan can be made to get rid of the ants at the entrances to the chalets? That evening we had a huge thunderstorm and then we did not have electricity for that whole night and part of the morning (I think up to 10:00). We are grateful for the rain, but there were no candles or torches available. Luckily we took some of those items with. Maybe you can supply candles and/or torches in case of emergency. Also think of generators as we could not even make coffee the following morning and the mosquitoes were also an issue. We paid for the luxury chalets, but could use none of the luxury items on offer, like the air conditioners. The TV also did not work. And some maintenance can be done on the thatch roof - it leaked water from the rain and the spider webs can be removed.

We were housed in River Chalet 1. The price we paid for 1 night - out of season, middle of the week for 2 adults R1 250,00 - doesn't warrant what we received. A mouse had made a nest under the pillow in the main bedroom. The same mouse did a lot of damage to our medication and food during the night. The shower door and taps were completely broken. I wanted to report it to reception in the morning, but no-one was available. This was probably a lovely resort in it's day, but the units need to be upgraded and maintained if they are going to charge the prices that they do.

We booked one of the Business Suites and it was perfect for my wife and I. Everything in the room was functional. The bed was comfortable. Shade parking under the trees. The Bar helped to quench the thirst in the 40 plus temperature. The Restaurant are ideally situated next to the Orange River and the quality of the food was good. The hot breakfast gave us a good start to the day.

We enjoyed our stop over during Covid - but unfortunately the restaurant and bar were not functioning. Thus we could not have sundowners on the deck overlooking the river. Basic range of accommodation. They offer a pensioners discount which gives them a competitive edge. We enjoyed ourselves and will go back. And recommend it to others.

Having had good rains in the Orange River catchment area, the Augrabies Falls were full. We made an imprompto decision to visit the falls.
The setting of Oranjerus Resort is idyllic - on the banks if the Orange River. We were a party of 4 adults and a toddler & stayed in a luxury chalet with a river view. The unit definitely needs attention & looks run down. The lock of the safety gate at the kitchen door was loose, some of the blinds could not open, the corners of the inside walls were chipped and the crockery & cutlery were mismatched. The beds however, were very comfortable. The gounds needs attention, as some of the lawns were not mowed well & the flowerbeds were unkempt. There are areas at the restaurant & deck that are covered in dust & cobwebs.
The camping sites are mostly shaded (a MUST in the heat) & are neat. I can't comment on the ablusions at the camping site, but the campers all seemed happy.
I realise the Covid pandemic plays a huge role in the dishevelled apearance of the resort. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but this resort can be so much more if it could just get a bit if TLC

We didn't have a booking and called around lunchtime
Only needed a campsite to park our off road caravan, with power and ablutions to shower
Wow really great staff willing to go the extra 10 miles
They waited up until 21:40 for us to arrive
Campsites have Beautiful grass and huge trees with lots of shade
Bathrooms are large and very comfortable, each with each own basin
Just a shame that they weren't cleaned properly.... I hate spiders and spider webs all over the place
Also the thatched roof of the ablution area needs serious cleaning.. Really bad when you have arachnifobia🙈🙈

Enjoyed our stay, will definitely recommend it

We had reserved a store. However, the worker told us that since it was a particularly cold night they were going to move us to a better room at no cost. A huge detail on their part, when they had no need. Thank you so much!

It is a beautiful setting and the breakfast (including the service) the next morning were really good. The cleanliness of our luxury cabin unfortunately was not up to standard. It was extremely dusty and apart from the bathroom and kitchen, the rest of the cabin did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. My parents stayed in one of the business rooms and their bedding was stained. Overall friendly reception and excellent service from the breakfast staff but the cleanliness of the cabin left a lot to be desired.
