Absolutely beautiful, lush, and green outdoor setting.
Food was good but options limited.
Room is beautiful and very spacious, bathroom and toilet is open.
Overall clean but needs attend to outdoor areas.
Loved all the art.

For an overnight stay in the Upington area this is hard to beat. Large cool rooms, extensive green gardens, small pool and good food. The large shady trees and water features cooled the whole area down.

Spent a whole week in the African Vineyard Guesthouse in Kanoeiland as part of a Trade Mission from the UK.I have never had such a relaxed stay in any of my business trip. The food was excellent thanks to the dedicated cooking of the chief Pieter.Everything was thought to the finest detail including not putting any pork cold or hot meat in the breakfast buffet upon my advice to the organisers prior the trip.
I would definitely come back in myfirst trip to the area and recommend the guest house to anyone travelling to that destination.

Beautiful accommodation located within the vineyards.
Service is exceptional, staff are warm friendly and helpful. We opted for the standard room which was adequate enough for us. The rooms have a fridge, water, tea, coffee, sherry (the extra added touch) rusks and some sweet treats.
Basic toiletries and a vanity kit in the bathroom.
On arrival we were offered white or red muskadel 😍. Dinner for me was average- I found my meal to be quite bland. My dessert was also a bit of a disappointment. We left before breakfast was served but the staff made an exception and prepared breakfast for us before we left which was amazing.

We were made to feel welcome before we had even arrived. Elmarie, the manager, wanted to know our dietary preferences for the evening meal when I phoned to confirm our time of arrival. She upgraded our room to a magnificent room (Chardonnay) which was far above our expectations. Everything was beautiful, including our meals which took place outdoors in a tropical paradise on a balmy evening. We will definitely return and can highly recommend.

We booked two families at African Vineyards, we have stayed there previously. It is a stunning property with very well appointed rooms and all the amenities you need.

We were there on boxing day so they seemed a bit short staffed... We had to keep looking for staff to help us.

They have so many bugs that I had to go in search of bug spray and citronella candles. That was a big problem as we all got bitten badly. This needs to be sorted out.

We ate dinner there and strangely weren't offered a menu but rather two options where as another table had a menu and could order starter / main / desert. Our group was fairly hungry as we had been travelling all day. The food was very good.

You had to beg for service to get drinks.

Breakfast was good and the service improved.

We arrived around 5pm and were allocated a superior room which was unbelievably spacious. The staff were friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. We were fortunate to walk through the grove and pick and eat figs off the tree.

We had an excellent experience - the service, facilities and location were perfect. The staff went out of their way to accommodate all our preferences - we definitely will be back for another visit. Our first night at the venue coincided with a birthday party at the venue - our team of 4 were compensated with a free dinner and breakfast for the inconvenience.

Reception staff were friendly and welcoming and keen to help. We had an enormous room.

However, the duvet was excessively heavy, and I did not like the brown flannelette sheets; rather offputting – crisp white cotton would be much more appealing (though I know it’s difficult laundering in bore water.)

There is an enormous dining room; in the evening we were the only guests apart from a large birthday party, seated in front of the fire (which would have been too hot for me.) Only a couple of other people at breakfast too.

Overall, we enjoyed our one-night stay.

Room was great, interconnecting wall a bit thin. though. Food was also very enjoyable and the staff went out of their way to attend to our needs. The setting was excellent and removed from the town. The property is well maintained and well looked after.
