Clean and comfortable. Self catering. Prepare your food in a lovely large kitchen. Value for money. Walking distance to a very nice pub/restaurant. Don't get too excited about the swimming pool!. Still well worth the money.

Thank you, we are glad you enjoyed your stay (the dipping pool really is only a dipping pool).

I love space - no narrow walls or low ceiling and a king size bed. I got it all. In this spacious room there was (of course) a well equipped "kitchen" with both oven and micro wave oven, fridge and all other kitchenware you may want to use for cooking meals. There is an option (when booking) to ask for a (cold) continental breakfast. I'd done so, but the lack of enthusiasm when I mentioned it resulted in cancelling that breakfast. There is WiFi - but don't believe the code stated on the Free WiFi document put on the wall. It is not valid. You have to call to get the proper password. Maybe due to the heavy rain and thunderstorm but the free WiFi was a short lived story.

We apologise about the breakfast but this needs to be ordered in advance - unfortunately this was not relayed to us by your company staff when placing the booking. It was unfortunate. The free uncapped wifi is usually very good, but as you correctly diagnosed, heavy rainfall can interfere with the microwave signal from our ISP. Very sorry for any inconvenience caused.

My family and I loved the stay at the Solomon. The amenities were execllent. Loved the kitchen, it was clean, spacious and well equipped. The hosts were available as and when you need them and that was very comforting. Thank you. We would definitly stay at the Solomon again and will refer it to anyone going in the Kimberely direction. Thank you The Solomon for your lovely hospitality.

The guesthouse is nice, we got a warm reception from the owner. It was neat and spacious. It is everything you look for when you drive past or just staying for a few days in kimberley. The only problem is they don't serve breakfast. But it's well furnished and neatly kept

Our accommodation at the Solomon, wasn't as we expected, for on our arrival, our accommodation was altered. We'd booked a suite of rooms in the main house (some shared) but were allocated a studio apartment across a driveway. We felt the apartment had fewer facilities overall, for no price reduction, and was noisy as it was adjacent to the main vehicle access to the property. On the plus side, the owners were very helpful and pleasant, the main house and adjacent garden was very nicely refurbished. The Solomon is located in a attractive suburb of Kimberley and was otherwise ideal for our stay.

Hi. We are very sorry that you did not get the room you had expected. We moved you to one of the Studio Rooms (which are fully self-contained self-catering with private entrance) because we thought it would suit you better for a stay lasting several days. We sometimes find that guests staying several days do not like the shared catering facility of the Bateleur and Goshawk unless they are part of a larger group (in fact we are in the process of converting the shared living rooms into two separate guest rooms). We try to encourage all our guests to bring any concerns to our attention straight away so we can try to accommodate them. I am very sorry we did not pick up on your preference, and we hope it did not negate your stay too much in Kimberley. We are also trying to reduce the traffic volume through the main entrance gate by creating another gate at the back for guests to exit through. We hope this will make things easier going forward. Thank you for choosing The Solomon. We hope to see you again if you ever pass through Kimberley from your beautiful Shakespeare country.
