Great overnight stop. Mercia, the Receptionist was very welcoming and accommodating and went out of her way to assist in giving us a room where we could plug in our car freezer.
Room very clean with a bar fridge, TV & aircon. Good water pressure & hot water in shower.

The room was nice and very spacious, BUT the smoke that comes through the ventilation system is NOT good for my sinusses. Wi-fi not always working. The food was standard, not exceptionally scrumptious! It was only for one night so I survived that at least! Unfortunately, NOT coming back here!

We stayed for 2 nights on our way back home. 1 family room and 1 normal room. Family room quite small compared to normal room. Rooms generally clean and neat. Breakfast was good. Didn’t have dinner as they are closed on Sunday evenings. Good location, between 5-10 minutes away from everything. Overall good for 1-2 nights’ stay.

Excellent price. Good restaurant and service. However, terrible room, one of the larger rooms. Some lights not working, bathroom lighting not up to standard, terrible sound and image on TV, door safety chain broken, missing hangers on curtains. Air Conditioning only just coping with winter temperatures. A real disappointment. But then, I guess you get what you pay for. Rather skip this one!!!

This place is great for sleepovers en route to another destination. Slightly far out of town, but close to the highway to get back on your journey. Rooms are clean, but no noise insulation. The person next door was snoring so badly; I woke up. Could have been supplied by earplugs to survive this night.

Nice atmosphere and the thatched dinning area gives a country feel. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. By far the best steak we have had in Kimberley.
A must visit venue when in Kimberley.
Well done!

We went for dinner on a Monday night while traveling through Kimberly on recommendation from our B&B host.
There was only one waitress working and serving multiple tables.
The food was beyond bland, and I was served dry brown packaged bread with my soup.
All the other meals were less than appetizing and could not be finished.
I would suggest stopping at a cheap fast food chain for dinner before considering dinner at the Kalahari Lodge.

Service needs serious jacking up. Had to request the (delicious) garlic bread to be brought to the table. Then the butter was requested. Then ordered a beer. How long must one wait from a very quiet bar/restaurant. (Oh / forgot). This was very poor.

On the up side - the food was "OK". The butternut soup was very good. The oxtail ordinary .

Did I have a new or "dud" waitress?

When I requested the bill, "oh, I forgot".

And the wifi is still u/s.

After a very long day on the motorcycle this lodge accommodated our group of 30 people on very short notice. We spent a well rested night and felt refreshed. Unfortunately had to leave early the following day and could not enjoy breakfast.

We found this to be a great place to stay over while travelling through. The rooms were clean and neat as was the Lodge. Most of all we enjoyed the dining room and some really good food. I would go back for sure!
