Breakfast was average but adequate. Nice pool and gym and common area is very spacious and is a relaxing environment setting. Beds were comfortable and room is spacious. I would stay here again for an overnight stay. Air cons was a bit noisy but not unbearably so.

I checked in on Wednesday last week and could not sleep due to a stinking carpet in room 215. Reported to reception on Thursday morning and was told that they were going to clean it. When I came back in the evening, it was still the same and had to sleep with open windows the whole night, despite the cold air that was coming into the room. On Thursday I requested for a room without carpet and was told they only have 4 rooms and all were taken. This has triggered a very bad flue and now have to incur medical bills and doctors consultations and take leave from work, miss important deadlines etc. I do not recommend anyone to stay there as staff fo not seem to care at all about the complaints.

Have always been a good service based hotel, but under the new management team customer care have deteriorated badly.The breakfast over December was embarrassing.They even insist in an empty hotel to charge your in peak prices, with only 5 guests in the entire hotel.

The Garden Court in Kimber is a good stop when traveling back from the coast to Gauteng. The hotel pool serves to cool one down after a long day on the road, and the in-house Spur is always good for a family dinner with children. The buffet breakfast was excellent as always. On the negative side, our family (including children) only had 2 towels (one large and one small) in the room so we had to ask for more, and the beds did not have a top sheet. Only a duvet. The staff was friendly as always and accommodated our requests for additional towels and sheets in an efficient manner. It was a great value for money stay.

I was booked into the Garden Court in error as I normally stay at Protea in Kimberley which is a lovely hotel but where food is always a challenge for a vegetarian and the service is appalling. So, to begin with I was not happy but they surpassed my every expectation. My non-smoking room seemed to have had a smoker in it the day before who had cheated. I reported this to management who offered to move immediately me but I was tired, it was Sunday night at 19h00 and I said we could work it out the next day. They had the place cleaned from top to bottom the next morning and so thoroughly that when I returned and went to pack to move rooms, I could not smell a thing. So I stayed. That aside, what a treat! The staff were amazing, helpful, friendly and a delight. The breakfast team gave me the most delicious veggie breakfasts (I don’t eat eggs) I have ever had! Sometimes I would run by 10 minutes before breakfast was closing and they would pull off a miracle for me. Wonderful friendly, interested and passionate service. Truly rare. That brings me to The Spur on the premises. Being vegetarian it never occurs to me to go to the Spur because it is traditionally a steakhouse. Well was I in for a treat, the Spur offers so many vegetarian options that I was blown away. After fighting with the Protea to try and get food out of them for years, it was such a pleasure to be presented with so many options I literally could not fit them all in over four days try as I may. What a pleasure. My room was comfortable, the WiFi worked, the staff were brilliant right down to the lovely man at security who saved my special parking for me everyday and took my temperature. The fitness centre was wonderful and the pool a treat since it was very hot. The only thing I would add was that they don’t offer any body lotion in their toiletries which I did miss but that was nothing that a quick visit to clicks couldn’t fix. Pathetic reception and no room to stay after confirmation calls when booking and police clearance documents presented to hotel. While tired then at night having to find another place is no joke. It was surprising that this booking was confirmed with three calls from us and two calls back to us by the hotel to confirm all is in order. chances that I will again use this facility is less than zero. Luckily there was other accomodation available close by, and to my surprise less expensive and the treatment and facility was emaculate. I am glad my eyes opened to know not to use the Garden Group again. As good as my experience some time ago was, so bad was it on Saturday 20 June 2020.

Very secured, convinient, clean meet the required standard of Tsogo hotels. Management and staff professional. Towels and emergency toiletries and refreshment tea and coffee was available in the room but there was no water except tap water.
