This is a beautiful and well situated resort. The chalets are nice and with a very good WiFi. No restaurant but good options nearby by car. Not suited for people who have problems with stairs. Enjoyed our visit.

The chalets are spacious, clean, well equipped (dishwasher, microwave, top of the range stove and oven, television, satellite tv, uncapped wi-fi, 2 fireplaces; one indoors and one outside on the patio) well maintained and well designed. The chalet sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (2 king size beds and 2 single beds in the room on the top floor). Each room is on a different level which offers privacy. The two rooms with the king sized beds each have bathrooms en-suite. The chalets are built on multi levels; the lounge and patio overlooking the lake are on the bottom level, the open plan kitchen and dining area on the mid level, then each bedroom on its own level. The design offers a sense of spaciousness without feeling that you are living on top of one another. It's not wheelchair friendly. The units are serviced daily and the staff are happy to build you a fire on cooler nights. The resort itself has a lot to offer in the form of water sports, skiing, canoeing, fishing, leisurely paddles around the lake on pedalos. The lake isn't fenced off so young children would need to be supervised, The swimming pool is fenced off and there is a 'baby pool' for the little ones. If you're looking for other activities there's volley ball, tennis court, adventure golf, there's a games room, gym and beauty spa. There's also a laundromat in the complex where you can do your own washing. The location also has wonderful bird watching trails so remember to pack binoculars! I like a morning run and while I haven't explored the running trails beyond the main gate, the resort itself is sufficient for me. Despite all the activities, it remains a serene, calm and peaceful place. The staff are very friendly, extremely obliging and go out of their way to assist you. When my companion lost the phone charger the reception managed to organise one which was delivered to our chalet within 10 minutes. The chalets are self catering and there isn't a restaurant on site but there are menus in the chalets from restaurants in white river who will deliver. There is a small shop in the complex where one can buy, fire wood and charcoal, sweets and a few very basic requirements. The resort is about an hours drive from Hazyview and the roads are glorious, the scenery breathtaking. It's just over an hour from Kruger and the other sites worth visiting in and around Mpumalanga. There's nothing I could fault at Pine Lake Resort. The service was excellent, the location magnificent, the accommodation, divine. If you are looking for a place for a family, friends or a partner to get away and connect, Pine Lake Resort could be the place for you. Thank you to the wonderful staff. I would definitely come back.

Went on a family vacation to pine lake resort. The rooms are spacious and it’s a fun resort overlooking a lake. Activities to do at pine lake resort include swimming and going on a boat cruise on the lake. It’s a self catering resort where one brings their own food and stocks it up in the fridge.

An absolute pleasure to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us at Pine Lake Resort. I must say though that are referring to paddle boats on the lake at not a boat cruise as such. We look forward to your next visit and thank you for sharing your stay experience with us all. Regards Thuso

We have just enjoyed a fabulous time at Pine Lake Resort. The timeshare chalet was modern, extremely comfortable and offered everything we could have wished for, for a relaxing get away. We were extremely impressed by the attractive gardens and the well maintained rolling lawns which bordered the tranquil, beautiful lake on which we enjoyed some canoeing. We highly commend the management and staff for a superb timeshare resort. We will be back!

The garden guys has been working hard to bring the garden up to the expected standard, especially after the long lock-down period, I will pass you message of motivation the team. I absolutely agree with that the chalets are stunning, we are finishing the last 4 units after Easter and thereafter all units will be refurbished. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and we are looking forward to hosting you again in the near future. Keep safe and well. Regards Thuso

We liked it when we got there as the view of Longmere dam from our initial (albeit older) chalet was still stunning but we really loved the resort once we got upgraded into the newly refurbished chalet also with a view to the dam. Had all the amenities (dishwasher, Smart TVs, communal laundry room) and enough room for all of us to relax. Please note that the dam is not fenced in and there are no lifeguards on duty so if you have an adventurous toddler/child (with no sense of danger as mine was) you need to be on guard all the time and always accompany them for walks along the dam and on the balcony in the main bedroom which does not have a railing and is low enough to climb through. There are lots for kids to do including swings, slides and a trampoline so our tot was happy. Fantastic spa and Prisca is a gem! And lots of board games available at the reception and for chess lovers, a life-size chessboard on the compound. Would definitely visit again.
