Very conveniently located and well maintained hotel near Kruger Mpumalanga Int. airport. Rooms are very spacious and well appointed, and the food was really great. We will certainly return during another stop over at Kruger airport.

We stayed three nights here and the lodge rooms were spacious and beautifully clean. The hotel is in a wonderful location and we ate well all the time we were there - buffet style, but with plenty of choice and everything was very tasty. The beds were super comfy and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, especially with the peacocks roaming the grounds!

We travelled to South Africa with RSD travel. We stayed at the lodge for 2 nights. Friendly staff who multi task as porters, waitress etc. Room was large and clean. Some furniture dated but did not bother us. Food was excellent a great selection. There is a bar and peacocks roaming the ground. The sunset and sunrise across the valley is out of this world. Recommend staying here if visiting Kruger Safari Park.

Having read some pretty decent reviews, I was looking forward to my one night business stay here. The Destiny Lodge is very conveniently located about 3 kms from the Mpumalanga Kruger Airport and its a good layover if you’re catching the early flight to Johannesburg. Firstly, the good: the staff are helpful and very friendly and the rooms are large and spotlessly clean with reasonable amenities. My room had a huge shower, a gigantic bathtub and twin bathroom sinks. Now the bad: the satellite TV was non functional, even after the friendly maintenance guy arrived to try to get it to work. Then, the phone to Reception (or anywhere) didn’t work. Then, there is no hotel information booklet in the rooms - if you want to find out about meals or room service you need to walk over to the main hotel and look for somebody. Finally, there is no information in the rooms about how to access the free WiFi. All-in-all, not great for a hotel. The T-bone dinner served in my room (after my trip to find out what to do to get a meal) was reasonable quality and reasonably priced. Service was good. Bottom line, this hotel needs to up its game a bit.

We were pleasantly surprised with this little gem of a place. From our warm welcome, to the large rooms. it was well worth booking a room with a shower, as showers are large and water pressure is great. A wonderful afternoon was spent in the cosy bar and staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We decided to stay for dinner, and it too was outstanding (lamb chops come highly recommended) Breakfast was tasty with various options. One of our party only realised after departure that they had left their laptop in the room and a hour later it was at the gate waiting for collection, saving us a trip up to reception. It is the little things that make a stay memorable and we have to compliment management and staff, it is a pleasure to deal with properly trained efficient people. Great place for a stop over on route to the Sabi Sands & The Kruger Park. We will be back .
