Our lodge is situated 35 mns from the Numbi Gate to the Kruger National Park. Also able to drive the Panorama Route to take in the sights of Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes etc. We are on a 15 hectars Macadamia Nut farm and feel we are a very friendly, self owned and run lodge where you can unwind and rest in the tranquility of our gardens.

Amid a busy work trip, Country Lane Lodge was a place of tranquility and true hospitality. The grounds and gardens are beautifully kept and attract plenty of birdlife. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and kept spotlessly clean, and everyone who works here goes out of their way to make you feel at home, without intruding on your privacy. Strong wifi, a generator when load shedding strikes - and, maybe best of all, delicious breakfasts - made with care.

What an amazing experience not just the area of Mpumalanga, but the lodge itself is really beautiful and on a huge macadamia nut farm which we were able to enjoy there and Lisa gave us a bag to take home with us on the day we left. Throughout our entire stay Lisa and her sweet family, were very welcoming, kind, accomadating and helpful and made us feel at home.That is how I can descibe being at Countrylane lodge it felt like home warm and comfortable. I had a cold when we arrived and Lisa's Mom made me hot lemon and honey with breakfast everyday. Breaskfast was delicious and served with delicious fresh exotic fruits everyday including a freshly made warm full english breakfast or personalised to your needs. Lisa also provided us with tips on where to go and even printed out a map for us to Pilgrims Rest. The rooms were spacious very clean and comfortable and we didnt have to sweat through the nights as there were both an airconditioner and a ceiling fan in the rooms, incl. bug sprays for those pesci mosquitos. The lodge itself is beautiful with warm country style deco and antiques with an African touch. the garden, lapa and pool were lovely where we enjoyed a BBQ on New years eve. We hope we can return there again one day and highly recommend Countrylanelodge to fellow travelers. We just wish our stay was longer as we were sad to leave. We really enjoyed our days at Country Lane Lodge. Everything was just fine. The infrastructure is very well maintained and the garden with the many flowering plants and the small pond was so relaxing and invites you to dream. The garden also has variety for the children and offers a playground. We enjoyed our stay at the accommodation so much that we returned again on our trip. The hosts are very gracious, friendly, accommodating, reserved, generous and do everything to make the stay wonderful. They cooked especially for us in the evening so that we could enjoy the fine food on the terrace. The fine macadamia nuts, which grow on the farm, are there to be tasted. Muscle relaxation can also be found through the very good massage. We can highly recommend the stay at Country Lane Lodge to everyone and we will be happy to return there anytime. It is a good place to stop over, even for several days, on the way to Kruger. In White River you find everything, especially a great golf course, which can be reached within a few minutes drive from the lodge.

Has a relaxed and great stay and one of the lodge managers Juliet was very kind, attentive and friendly as we enjoyed chats with her during lovely breakfast. Quiet area and lovely, clean rooms in a scenic farm. We used area as a halfway station to Sabie activities and getting into the Kruger park so I would advice making dinner plans in advance and ordering in early from their array of recommended to avoid disappointment if you are not solely based in White River during your trip.

The location is very peaceful and the rooms are excellent. Hosts are very attentive and breakfast is also top quality. Honour bar is well stocked and provides a great opportunity to unwind with a drink or two in this wonderful location.

We had a beautiful stay at the Country Lane Lodge in Mpumalanga and the service was excellent. However, there was one problem which we never understood whether booking.com is a scam or what because when we booked through booking.com breakfast was inclusive only to find that at the Lodge they said breakfast was not inclusive and we had to add money for breakfast. Our advice would be that may they please remove the breakfast it's misleading. Thank you.

We regularly visit Mbombela, but have never found somewhere that we are desperate to return to. However, this place is the first to really exceed expectations. The room was gorgeous and spacious, the shower was awesome and the breakfast was delicious. Brian, Lisa and staff were so kind and welcoming. Lisa, in particular, was amazingly attentive and took our kids to see the rabbits, turtles and chickens. We will definitely return.

My wife and I stayed her for a long weekend in July. The farm was very peaceful, relaxing and we had no security concerns at all. The service was really good and we were made to feel most welcome. Breakfasts on the deck were great. We did a trip into the Kruger (a short 40min drive) and took a packed breakfast. The rooms we were in were functional and had all the basics needed for that part of the country (like aircon). We have rated the rooms as average, not because they were in any way bad, but because they were just standard - nothing special about them.

Country Lane was highly recommended to us by an aquaintance and it was as good as they said. We were very warmly met by Brian with lots of communication before hand. Our room was very comfortable and had every thing that we needed. We had a really good breakfast the next day before we set off. It's situated on a macadamia farm with a beautiful setting and definitely worth a walk around. We will go back if we are in the area again.

Hi,
We stayed a Country lane lodge for about 6 weeks ago.
In our cottage there was aircondition, but we used it the opposite way ;o) . It was quite cold when we where there, but probably warmer when you arrive.
But please remember that its far out in the country with bad road in the last 500m. you will need a car and a gps to find it. And detailed description, no sign post on the road. but a nice setting when you find you way ;o).
I have answered this question. We are asble to pick up guests at the airport and take them back. However, it is best to hire a c ar at the airport as you will need transport when here unless it is only for one day. There are many beautiful spots to visit.
There are more places to choose from in the White River area.
