Seringa Lodge is situated on the outskirts of the quaint town of White River, in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. With its easy access to many places of interest, the lodge is the perfect home base for exploring the many attractions of the area such as the Kruger National Park, Panorama Route, Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrims Rest. The original thatched farmhouse, set in ten hectares of peaceful garden, has been converted into a lovely guesthouse with a magnificent view of the Legogote Mountain, “The Lion Head”.

Seringa Lodge was as good as we remembered it. The lodge was spotless and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The garden was filled with Cliveas which were stunning. The lamb shanks that we were served for dinner were the best that we have ever tasted. All of the food was first class.

We will forward to our next visit!

My friends and family had the most enjoyable stay at Seringa. We stayed there for nearly two weeks. Cameron and the rest of the staff were above and beyond hospitable, learning all of our names and taking care of us everyday like we were close friends. Our rooms were clean and beautiful. The lodge itself was beautiful and tranquil. The back patio and pool area is secluded, beautiful and comfortable. A perfect place to enjoy gazing at the South Africa stary sky at night or have a beautiful out door breakfast, made to order, in the peaceful mornings with birds serenading all around.
Our rather large group took over half of the grounds at Seringa for close to two weeks. We had many accommodation requests between all of us and the staff at Seringa helped with everyone of them.
I can’t say enough good things about this very special place. My family and I will return here and don’t even want to ever look for another place to stay when we return to South Africa.

I have been staying at Seringa Lodge for past few years, when I visit the Kruger National Park.

The owners Roger & Cecilia are great hosts. Linnen and towels are 1st class. Beautiful maintained gardens with panoramic view. Lovely breakfasts with in-house Swedish Chef inspired meals. Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Well recommended.

Roger always arranges our safari drive into the Kruger National Park, with pickup at the lodge.

There is allot to do around White River, during your stay.

This was a completely underwhelming experience. The linen in both rooms was frayed. The entire facility is tired and in need of investing. The dinner was adequate but not worthy of the charge, with the ‘manager’ on the night been a no show. The tenant on the property played their music at a level that was not considerate and an irritation!

Seringa lodge is a great place with very friendly people. The lodge is situated nearby the Krugerpark and the garden is very pretty. The owner can tell you a lot about it. I strongly recommend other guests to take the 3 course dinner at this lodge, it is wonderful!

I've been to Seringa 5 or 6 times and agree that the owners are super nice. Celia is an AMAZING cook- like best food in the region outside of Cape Town. Seriously. BUT, after our last visit our baby and toddler were covered head to toe in bites and I had to write this review.

The lodge has no a/c and the fans are old, don't work, and very slow. If you go when it's hot (which is most of the time) it's pretty uncomfortable. But that's not the real problem. The problem is that to compensate, they leave ALL the windows and doors open. And for some reason I can't understand, there are no screens on the windows.

The result is that every time I've stayed there are mosquitos, bugs, lizards and frogs in the rooms. The windows above the bathtub are left open (of course) so that everyday there is a layer of bugs in the tub. I'm not that picky, but I live in Mozambique, and malaria risks are real. We took our baby and of course all the windows are open, so there are plenty of mosquitos in the room. They gave us a net for the baby's cot, which was nice, but the net had holes. In addition, the cot they gave us had holes. So our baby was COVERED in bites. Our three year old slept under her net but was also covered in bites.

She was so uncomfortable, she scratched her bites till they bleed. Her sheets were bloody that morning, but housekeeping didn't even change the bloody sheets. These are simple problems to fix- just put up screens and get working fans. It's a mystery why they don't do this. Save yourself the bites and discomfort and stay somewhere else.

This is my favorite place to go for rest and lovely food outside Nelspruit. The kids also love it. A cosy lodge with fantastic service and great food and wine. Roger and Cecilie are just amazing and the atmosphere make you feel at home. They have dogs and my daughter who normally are afraid of dogs love to play with them. The garden is big enough for playing football or running around and they have a small pool. Roger is the perfect guide for a day trip to Kruger, he is so knowledgeable. I have done it twice and really enjoyed it.
