St Lucia Lodge, KwaZulu Natal is located on the magnificent shores of the St Lucia Estuary, one of the largest estuaries in Africa. The St Lucia Estuary is home to more than 800 hippopotami and an estimated 1200 Nile crocodiles not to mention the abundance of birdlife. It is no wonder that the area was proclaimed as a world heritage in 1999 by Unesco and is the first world heritage site in South Africa. St Lucia Lodge is ideal for leisure travellers wanting to explore the magnificent surroundings as well as families and corporate travellers, looking for a conference venue out of town. The hotel offers 36 spacious rooms, which include 16 rooms on the ground floor with private patios leading out into the garden or pool area while the first floor has 18 rooms all with views of the town. Our conference facilities are located at our sister hotel, Elephant Lake Hotel which is located 550 meters from the lodge. We can accommodate up to 100 guests and is perfect for corporate conference delegates who want to enjoy a balance between business and leisure with all the attractions the area has to offer. St Lucia Lodge is a self-catering lodge. Dinner is done on request as a buffet style service. Guests have access to a communal dining area and the use of induction stove plates, microwave and braai facilities. Alternatively, guests can also enjoy lunch and dinner at Hippo Steakhouse at our sister hotel, Elephant Lake Hotel. Near-by attractions include hippo and crocodile tours on the St Lucia Estuary, Isimangaliso Wetland Park, Cape Vidal and Mission Rocks, Veyane Cultural Zulu Village, snorkelling, deep sea fishing, turtle hatching tours and much more.

Detailed Reviews
We spent two nights at this hotel. Probably one of the better 3 star hotels I have stayed in. Rooms are generally neat as is the rest of the hotel. Small things like topping up on coffee/tea in rooms could be improved. Would however recommend this as an option in St Lucia

Small hotel close to the city cente. The bedroom aren’t big, but clean and if you need a third bed they use a foam mattress. There isn’t the fridge in the room. The breakfast is quite rich. The staff is really kind.

Went there last year. Rooms are lovely and clean - all with A/C. All the staff are friendly and helpful - they made our time enjoyable there.
I would also suggest booking your tours and safari's through them - they're reasonable, and will take you on your tours even if the "minimum persons" isn't reached.
I particularly enjoyed the inn, as we were able to dine out at all the Touristy spots and still had the option of a buffet breakfast/ dinner if we were too tired to go out.
I will most certainly return to the Inn when I return to St Lucia!!
Thank you to all the great people who made our holiday unforgettable.

Only thing positive about the place was the staff were very friendly and helpful. Otherwise, it's only worth going there for an overnight stay, accommodation definitely not designed for more than that. Breakfast was ok

Every time we walked into our room, we were welcomed by a very cool air conditioner - it made our stay in the very warm December days and nights in St Lucia.
Location was amazing... so good to be able to walk to the restaurants at night, or to the shops in the day even though we had a car.
It was extremely clean, well appointed, functional and comfortable in all ways!
The service, friendliness and warmth of the staff was unparalleled: from the breakfast staff, housekeeping, security and gardener to the manager's knowledgeable information service and travel advice - you all made our holiday so restful and special - thank you!

Had such a warm welcoming from the get-go. The room was exquisite with swan towels greeting us. Shower was to die for and didn't want to get out! Very cozy room and was super quiet throughout our stay. Extremely accommodating and would definitely recommend to stay here!

This place was amazing. Exactly what you need, safe parking, easy to find, centrally located, spotlessly clean and the comfiest beds... This is s important.. and much appreciated.. we were greeted by the owner in the morning and she helped us with a map of the town and a lovely chat and even took the time To have the Tennis on the right channel when we returned from Isimangoliso Nature Reserve which was also amaZing. Breakfast was delightful and abundant and I would recommend this place for anyone visiting St. Lucia.. thank you so much
