St Lucia Lodge, KwaZulu Natal is located on the magnificent shores of the St Lucia Estuary, one of the largest estuaries in Africa. The St Lucia Estuary is home to more than 800 hippopotami and an estimated 1200 Nile crocodiles not to mention the abundance of birdlife. It is no wonder that the area was proclaimed as a world heritage in 1999 by Unesco and is the first world heritage site in South Africa. St Lucia Lodge is ideal for leisure travellers wanting to explore the magnificent surroundings as well as families and corporate travellers, looking for a conference venue out of town. The hotel offers 36 spacious rooms, which include 16 rooms on the ground floor with private patios leading out into the garden or pool area while the first floor has 18 rooms all with views of the town. Our conference facilities are located at our sister hotel, Elephant Lake Hotel which is located 550 meters from the lodge. We can accommodate up to 100 guests and is perfect for corporate conference delegates who want to enjoy a balance between business and leisure with all the attractions the area has to offer. St Lucia Lodge is a self-catering lodge. Dinner is done on request as a buffet style service. Guests have access to a communal dining area and the use of induction stove plates, microwave and braai facilities. Alternatively, guests can also enjoy lunch and dinner at Hippo Steakhouse at our sister hotel, Elephant Lake Hotel.
