St Lucia Ecolodge offers spacious gardens, lawns, off-road parking and an on-site bistro that serves daily breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Our menu emphasises local cuisine as well as a traditional menu. Our lodgings are spacious and have fully fitted kitchens, with dinner, bed & breakfast options being available. The staff were lovely and the dining area would be 4 star with the lovely views over the gardens and the rife birdlife. The bedrooms need attention, like the mildew in the bathrooms and the damp smell. It would be nice to tell the guests at the time of booking that fishing is not possible as you cant even access the estuary due to the reeds and that the pool was empty due to repairs...a note at reception is too late if a person has travelled to get to St Lucia. I have marked location as poor because a person comes here to fish and it is not possible at the moment unless you want to fish in the sea, which we did not due my husbands injury we were really wanting to fish of the jetty. If we had know ahead that the jetty's are inaccessible, we would have opted for a different location all together.

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately the swimming pool was not usable and this was a disappointment. But everything else was wonderful.

We stayed in room 12, the family suite and it was extremely nice and comfortable. The room boasts an upstairs veranda that overlooks a garden pond and the breakfast area. Morning breakfast was buffet style.

Very beautiful stay. I enjoyed the quietness, the bedding and the hospital. The location was easy to find and centrally located. The room was cleaned everyday and well taken care of. Would definitely want to come to St Lucia again. I really enjoyed my stay

Fantastic trip So well look after - especially from Kian and Jurie. Jurie was an absolute star with his calm, caring assistance with Vernae's accident - we cannot thank you enough - his pancakes were even more appreciated especially from Elijah!!! We will be back and will spread the word how wonderful the lodge is - there is no doubt that when tourism gets back on its feet St Lucia Eco Lodge will be a shining light in the region...well done to all. Please thank the lovely ladies who cleaned our rooms - Mbalis and Co. Also Lucky and Simphiwe and Anna who produced fabulous breakfasts and lastly Bongani who keeps the gardens beautiful and my car shining...!!!

Unfortunately, our family stay at St. Lucia Ecolodge was a big disappointment. We stayed in a so-called "luxury eco cottage" and it was nothing like advertised in the photos. Several basic items were missing in the kitchen, lights and cupboards in the bathroom were broken, ants in the kitchen, dark room, leaking terrace roof when it rained, mouldy smell from under the beds, outdated interiors... issues were addressed to reception but only partly attended to. The owner was very reluctant to accept the critique and did not apologize for the inconvenience. Quote Kian Barker: "it is naïve to expect that all the cottages are like in the photos" It is not right to be treated like this as a guest. He granted a small discount but this didn't make up for our huge disappointment. The place lacks maintanance and is not worth its price. It is a huge pity because the spot itself is beautiful, set in a lush garden with views over the forest. Staff is friendly and did their best but management is poor. Can't recommend the place.

This property is located on the outside of town overlooking the forest and a bit of sea views. Staff are attentive and so welcoming and this property offers the ultimate peace and tranquility. One of my best stays in St Lucia by far.

The rooms we booked at R 1 800 per night looked nothing like the website. Dirty shower, stained bath, rusted braai grid and no container for meat after the braai. No hot water on first morning shower as they forgot to switch on the geyser, the switch is located in another room. Jurie tried his best to help us but management is poor. Putting a complimentary basket in our room on day 2 does not help anything, get your rooms clean and prepared before guests arrive. Not value for money at all.

We came down from Mozambique looking for a nice stay before moving further. This was one of the most expensive accommodation spots. We chose it because there is ei-fi available and “Open TV Channels “ as the lady explained. To our disappointment there were only a few tv channels.. no sport channels.. only basic. The wi-fi is then off, then on!! We have reported it numerous times. There are so many small things in room that’s not right, I had to go and buy my own toilet paper, coffee etc. The only nice thing is the view. This is definitely not worth the price.
