Nothing was to much for the really nice owners!!! One night the owner knocked on our door to let us know there were hippo’s in the garden and he carefully showed us the 2 🦛 .
I stayed there during the riots and looting in KZN and the owners made me feel totally safe!
Apartment was big and very clean! Everything you needed was there and the wifi was very good.
Many thanks for everything they have done for me and my son! 🙏

Definitely recommended place for a stay in St Lucia. The hosts are amazing people that helped us in everything we needed. The cottage is amazing, beautiful, clean and comfortable. On the back you have a good view of sunset. Wi-Fi is available close to reception and each cottage has a private parking lot at the front. Price is very reasonable. One con is that hot water is not available at all times, which may be inconvenient for some people.

We are happy that you enjoyed the sunset and your stay in the cottage. The drought and water restrictions can only get better, and late night showers again too! Thank you from all of us!

St Lucia Wilds lodge is located at the end of McKenzie Street, close to the access road to the Estuary beach.
Accomodation is comfortable and clean. There is private parking available.
The lodge has a garden (with swimming pool) looking over the Lake St. Lucia Estuary and sunset from there is really nice.

The unit was very neat, cleaned everyday and had everything in that we needed. Despite the water problems in St Lucia, our hosts did their utmost to ensure that the impact of water restrictions was minimal. My wife and I had a great stay and the aircon in the bedroom was a life saver at keep the humidity and mozzies at bay. The shower is rather on the small side and a tall person would have to bend to fit in under the shower head. The lodge itself was very neat, the staff very friendly and accommodating and it was such a nice surprise to find Easter eggs in the unit when returning from the beach on Easter Sunday. will definitly be back!

We look forward to see you again. we greatly appreciate your positive review and experience over a very busy long weekend of our accommodation. It was very warm and humid so all the aircons and fans worked hard. Thank you for bringing to our attention the too low shower head, we will investigate and remedy. We do surprise guests on special occasions, thanks for noticing. Regards.

We stayed in St Lucia Wilds for four nights. We are a family of four - two adults and two kids. The host was very gracious and made our stay very pleasant. The town is currently facing a severe drought so water was in short supply but our host made sure we knew when the water restriction was being lifted so we could bath etc. She really went beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. In our room was a very comprehensive guide book about the area which provided very good information. We shall certainly be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at St. Lucia Wilds. We will definately re-visit St. Lucia Wilds. Water is a problem but it is all over our country.

The drought has positives, the hippos come close to units to eat green grass, and a lot less mosquitoes! It has rained and continues to rain, we keep on praying for water to come in our river. We are so happy you enjoyed your visit and stay and for the excellent review, from all of us.

Friendly and large rooms, almost like a house. Large kitchen, small garden and very nice and helpful hosts. Be aware of hippos at night (very interesting). We enjoyed our stay very much and will return on our next trip to south africa. It was much room for the money.

We thank you for your kind review. Yes, our units are like a little houses. The high ceilings and space helps when it is very hot and humid in summer so air can flow through, and it is comfortable. Located inside a nature reserve does have its moments with wildlife and so interesting!

The staff and I are very happy that you have enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness of our location and that the units are good to live in. The province of Natal , especially the east northern parts are currently in a serious long drought season and we are suffering greatly ourselves. Animals and people are struggling at present. Water is scarce and we have to restrict usage and waste at this moment. We do however offer water enough for daily use, it is just not in the taps throughout the day. The municipality distribute water erratic and does advise when they stop or pump. We are praying for rain. Thank you for your review!

Thank you for your review. The budget flat is well equipped with 2 ceiling fans and 1 pedestal fan. The view and surrounds of this unit is very pleasant. The drought in the province, especially this warmer north part is not ideal. We have to exercise strict water saving procedures a times, regrettably this has to be done, we do the best we can. Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience. You all had a shower every day! Fortunately the water issue is temporary and we manage as we go along. It has since rained so we expect to see the rivers flowing.
