Detailed Reviews
The lodge of Mandy and Simon is very nice with beautiful animal themed rooms, a pool, save parking space and a comfortable living room that can be used by everyone.
Breakfast is huge with fresh fruits, bread, juices, fresh omelettes and sausages etc. from the kitchen.
Simon and Mandy are very nice hosts, they informed us, when there were free spaces on a Hippo tour and gave tips on what to take care of when booking the tickets. Also they helped us in selecting what to visit and gave us an extra set of beach towels on no extra costs.
As we were the there on January 1st when no restaurants were open, they even offered a joint and very delicious dinner for just a very small amount.

Mandy and Simon are very attentive and kind hosts. They welcomed us like family members. Simon cooks a wonderful English Breakfast and Mandy serves a bowl of fresh fruit and yoghurt every morning. She gives many tips for things to do in the area and also books the excursions. The accommodation is furnished with a lot of love, each room has a small terrace facing the outdoor pool. We felt very comfortable in the Bhangazi Lodge and can absolutely recommend ist.
The lodge is not far away from the city centre and also not far from the gate to Cape Vidal and to the boat dock for trips to the hippos.

We had a fantastic stay with Mandy and Simon and would recommend for a short stay of 2-3 Nights without any doubt. The breakfast was really good especially the fresh fruit salad, good cheese, eggs etc. and good coffee all day. The lodge is well situated and you are in town by 10 minutes walk, also in the evening no problem with a torch. The room had an own bathroom. The lodge is also well secured.
Mandy and Simon were very friendly, have a lot of tipps and did every thing to let us have a great stay.

8 nights in this superb bed and breakfast. Simon and Mandy the owners were very helpful booked all our trips and could give recommendations as they had been on them so they could give their opinions on personal experience. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with much needed air conditioning, the breakfast there is amazing with so much choice and cooked breakfast was superb. Really nice clean pool to dip into when it gets too hot. Will definitely be going back next year but for a longer stay, still have to see and do so much in this beautiful part if the world.

Superb lodge! Everything was fantastic—the rooms, the decor, the host, and the breakfast! Laundry service was also available for a small fee, and the maintenance man would even clean our car if it was parked there! We had an incredible time. The hosts are very helpful and offer great advice on activities, food, and the local area, even before you arrive. We absolutely loved St. Lucia and are definitely planning to return to this lodge!
A minor downside is that fresh towels aren’t provided daily.

Having spent eight days at Bhangazi Lodge we can only say what magnificent hosts Mandy and Simon are. Quite apart from the delicious breakfasts and our extremely comfortable room, their depth of knowledge on the local area and its wildlife were both informative and thoughtful. Thank you M&S for being exceptional in every way and we hope to see you again one day. Nicole and Peter

We stayed at Bhangazi for 4 nights in December and we had the most pleasant stay. Mandy and Simon the owners are very accommodating and helpful. They definitely got 2 things right, great bed and great breakfast. If in St Lucia I'll recommend them certainly. They are situated close to everything and your stay will definitely be pleasant!!

Just had a 5star stay at Bhangazi, a really unique excellent experience with Simon and Mandy being the perfect hosts with a massive knowledge of St Lucia and surrounding area and places to go. If it’s a safari, the best restaurants or other activities the information was limitless! Start of the day breakfast is a treat with Simons internationally renowned omelettes a gourmet delight that fills you for the day. The solar panels keep things running if load sharing cuts in , the house is close to everything in St L . This is a definite when your on your travels experiencing the true South Africa,

Excellent hospitality given. Within safe walking distance to the many restaurants and coffee shops. Mandy makes you feel at home without being intrusive. She is also a wealth of local knowledge. Highly recommended.

Mandy & Simon cater to your every need. The amenities are just what you need and are in good condition. The establishment is well maintained and very clean. Despite staying during the festive season the guests were respectful and noise wasn't an issue. Breakfast was amazing!
