If you want that nature jungle feel, then stay at the lalapanzi guest house. Hippos munched in the evening on the sweet grass at night, not far from the back of the property. The gardens are tastefully done and the rooms are comfortable. Watch out for the monkeys, they have sticky fingers when reaching through the windows. Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful location on the northeast corner of town. Great garden and forest views at the back. However, 'modern' touches like fancy bed-covers, cushions, toiletries, subdued lighting, etc, don't make for practical traveller comfort. I was out all day and only used the place for sleeping and breakfast so my comments might not be of much assistance.

My large family occupied 4 rooms at Lalapanzi. Every room was welcoming, clean and well maintained. We had a lovely breakfast on the garden terrace. The adjacent forest is full of birds and you can take a wander along the natural path.

Our stay here was very enjoyable. Karlien was very helpful and friendly and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable including our fishing trip. The rooms were always clean and the breakfast was of good standard as well.
