When we arrived here we almost forgot that we were in St. Lucia. This place is a small resort of it's own. The building and the garden with pool made us feel like we were in somekind of tropical place in the Caribean or the far East for that matter. But no need to go there. African Ambience and St. Lucia are places well worth a visit. Hennie and Ilze are perfect hosts and made us feel at home. Hennie gave us good advice regarding all the things we could do in and around St. Lucia. We had a lovely room that was very clean as well. Everything was well organized and breakfast was great. We had a perfect stay!

We have had a vey pleasant stay at African Ambience Guest House. The breakfast was perfect and is served in a beautiful garden. We have appreciated all the help and service during our stay from the host Hennie especially regarding our trip towards Mozambique. We certainly like to recommend this guesthouse.

We had a ball of a time. From day one we were treated like royalty. The hosts Hennie & Ilse were one of a kind, we were introduced to St Lucia's wide diversity of activities. Highly recommended cozy guest house in St Lucia that was one of my favorite places to stay during our trip! Location - central location walkable to town and the beach, but far enough from the main strip where there are no concerns about loud noises or disturbances and it feels truly peaceful Hosts - the hosts are amazing and kind, they help coordinate trips and have great experience and recommendations for the area. They are so helpful and will coordinate reservations, lend items for the beach, accommodate for late check in etc and really go the extra mile to help you Rooms - gorgeous, comfy beds, a welcome sherry drink, and beautiful decoration!

From the time I arrived till the time I left Hennie was very helpful with all my requests and queries. The lodge is extremely beautiful with the most amazing doors. The aircon in the room works like a bomb. The only thing i did miss was a bar fridge in the room but it did not come with this room so I knew that beforehand. Parking was also a breeze even with my DC Ute.

Hennie and his wife Ilse are really very welcoming and open their home and treat all who visit as long lost family members. They are quick to give information on activities and places to visit in St Lucia which was really helpful. The staff are very friendly and the units are always cleaned beautifully. The guest house is also very safe. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and I would recommend this daily! Thank you for our stay it was an absolute pleasure. We will be back!

I stayed 8 nights at African Ambience and could easily have stayed another week. This guest house definitely lives up to its reputation. The actual guest house is lovely. Lots of character, with comfy rooms and tasteful and original furnishings in the common areas. Lovely garden and pool and it was great having breakfast outside in the morning. Service could not be better. Hennie and Ilze go out of their way to help their guests and it felt like they gave really good advice. The breakfast was fantastic every day and the home made cakes etc were a nice added extra. I would definitely use this guest house again and thoroughly recommend it if you like nice surroundings, good food and a homely atmosphere.

nice furnished guesthouse, romantic tropical garden, wonderful views to pool, garden or fountains. a bar and a fridge make the stay comfortable apple crumblee and personal breakfast were lovely I only give 4 from 5 points to the location, because you dont have a view Two friendly cats are at the guesthouse, too.

We were a big group of friends travelling together and it felt like coming home at African Ambience. Hennie and Ilze, thank you for you heartwarming hospitality and all the great tips of what to do. St Lucia is a small town, with so much on offer, that I fell in Love with it and we left too soon. So we will be back to finish what we missed this time. The whales welcoming us to the coast, while strolling on the beach, the boat ride to see the hippos, your stunning garden and the lekker braai were all highlights to make our stay, unforgettable.
