We stayed for 3 nights at Serene Estate and could not have had a better time. We were welcomed by Olga, the owner, who showed us round the stunning property designed and built by her Husband ( an architect) The rooms and grounds are sleek and minimal but extremely well designed because function has not in any way been compromised to provide for the uncluttered style. The grounds are lovely and each morning I awoke to find either mongoose, antelope or monkeys enjoying the garden. Breakfast was a delight, beautifully presented and delicious. Both Olga and Tessa , the manager were extremely helpful in suggesting the things we could do during our stay. They booked a boat trip on lake St Lucia for us and gave us a map with the driving routes around both the eastern and western shores of lake St Lucia, both of which were an unexpected delight and afforded us fabulous views of the stunning Biodiverse environments within the park and great game viewing, which we hadn’t expected. They also recommended restaurants for us to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St Lucia and would recommend Serene Estate as a great place to base yourself to explore the delights the area has to offer.

Serene Estate, managed by the wonderful Tessa, is a guesthouse in a top location of St Lucia with spacious, generous rooms, good beds and healthy breakfasts served on the terrace overlooking the big backyard. Tessa went out of her way ion trying to make us feel welcome & comfortable, even though we only stayed for a single night, supplying us with recommendations on what to do and where to go for dinner, etc. Try to always book activities through her, Tessa knows all about the best deals in town. We found the architecture quite interesting. We´ll be back!

My husband and I decided to do a road trip once we were allowed to travel out of Gauteng. St. Lucia was suggested by a friend for all it's beauty it has to offer. We chose Serene-estate Boutique Guesthouse as it looked modern, clean and in beautiful settings (what we needed in Corona times) and it did not disappoint. What also appealed to us was the size of the room we chose leading onto patio and pool area. Olga our host was great and each morning a delicious breakfast was served so beautifully by her and her sweet helper. She gave us the right information on what sights we should see and we did a beautiful walk as well into the nature reserve (which forms part of the Estate) seeing as a bonus beautiful flamingoes. The Guesthouse is well maintained and all your needs are met. It also has a good size swimming pool overlooking the nature reserve and it is so peaceful. We loved our 4 night stay and would definitely recommend if you are visiting St. Lucia and want the best, stay at Serene-estate Boutique guesthouse.

The service was friendly and efficient; the room had a very poor view and the carpets made of man made fibre / plastic very uncomfortable and more suited to a shop floor. Amenities in the lounge: magazines were out of date. We wish you well but would not recommend this venue having seen other venues nearby

Dear Mr Cyril Newton, We truly do pride ourselves in the service we provide, and I am happy that it has shown through your review. Our Parkside Suites have views into the park, your agent requested a room on a top floor. Our bedroom floors are made from Natural Quarts Stones mixed with epoxy, making for very hygienic cleaning, bringing nature inside and helping to keep the temperatures of the rooms pleasant. We don’t understand how you could find them uncomfortable. We keep a verity of bird and wildlife magazines in our lounge, and although some are dated, our guests find the stories and information in them still very interesting and informative. We think you would have preferred to stay at the hotel nearby, than at our Boutique Guesthouse.

Very lovely place, was worth every penny. Very quiet, great rooms, lovely view on the garden, perfect breakfast. Very warm welcome by the owners. The owners built this guesthouse themselves, very modern and very tasteful. Unique place to stay when coming to Saint Lucia.

We recently were spoiled by 2 good friends for a visit to St Lucia with accommodation at Serene Estate. What a pleasure it was to be received in person by Olga who immediately made us feel welcome. Excellent amenities and facilities; with well appointed room that is beautifully designed and functional. Waking up in the morning was a joy, watching wild animals and birds roaming the park in front of our window. Definitely a guesthouse that should be at the top of any discerning traveller's list. The breakfast was also heavenly, with great service from staff and the owners alike.

Tessa ,the manager, ensured our stay was interesting and diverse. Her knowledge of the local area and Trips is outstanding. All the trips we made were booked from here based on her recommendations. These trips wildly exceeded our expectations.
The property benefits from a standby generator so Load Shedding is not an issue.
Its not unexpected to see wildlife in the back garden and also wondering through the local community.
From a compact area there was so much to see and do that three nights just did not do it justice

We loved our visit to St. Lucia and to Serene Estate. It was quiet, peaceful and in a perfect setting. We loved our time chilling around the swimming pool and everything inside and out was beautifully maintained and perfectly clean. The staff was efficient and friendly and Olga was charming and helpful. Breakfast delicious! I would definitely go back!

We arrived the day the first 2 cases of COVID were dicovered in St. Lucia. The manager informed us about the consequences (some excursions were cancelled, no alcohol is restaurants after 18h) but also told us about alternatives. She was absolutely wonderful. We were the only guests, and stayed in a large, light room near the pool, with all the facilities one can wish for. Breakfast was abundant. The alternative trips turned out to be very nice and pleasant, and nearby. A great place to visit, hope to be back in better times.

This is an excellent place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and you have a view on the beautiful garden and the swimming pool. Serene Estate Boutique Guesthouse is situated near the estuary and not far from the towncentre with plenty of good restaurants and giftshops.
