Property's Favourite Review
This beautiful accommodation is absolutely delightful in every way. Fiona was so helpful, going above and beyond any expected service to make our stay a very, very special experience.
We have been travelling around SA for a few weeks and our stay here was a real highlight! The attention to detail in Turtle Bay in terms of all furniture, furnishings and facilities was exceptional. Fiona and Jan and all of their lovely staff ensured that our comfort and enjoyment was their prime focus.
We cannot thank them enough and would highly recommend this beautiful resort with its very special wild life.

+1
Our tour company placed us in this beautiful lodge during our stay. It was superb for the 3-nights. The hosts are very friendly and made sure we had a light breakfast to take with us at 5am leaving for our safari. The rooms were comfortable, the location just walking distance to town, the neighborhood extremely safe and our tour company had no problem meeting us here to pick us up. We had a great vacation and glad our day ended at this lodge!

We stayed for one night in St Lucia as we were going on the dawn safari with Heritage Tours.
Fiona kindly upgraded us and woke at 3am to prepare a breakfast for us as we departed at 5am.Fiona also saved us time by realising it was easier for us to follow the safari vehicle to the game park as we were driving back to Durban.
Small details can make all the difference, the room was spacious,AC was cool and although our stay was brief I would happily recommend TBL if staying in St Lucia

A funky family-style place with welcome and effective air conditioning, a pool, and an honor bar. Lovely hosts. Superb breakfast. The hosts also own an fishing service if you are so inclined. Highly recommended.

Johan and Fiona really make you feel like home away from home. Their balance of interaction with customers is perfect, with some alone time as well as someone to talk to if you feel a bit lonely.
Their friendly style of communicating is a breath of fresh air.

Hosts, Jan and Fiona Hofman, have created a wonderful guest experience at Turtle Bay Lodge. The amenities, care, cleanliness and little extras made the stay warm and welcoming. The Lodge offers fishing charters as well, that creates a package deal worth grabbing when in the St Lucia area.

We stayed in this guesthouse for three nights.
From the beginning to the end we enjoyed it.
Upon arrival Fiona and Jan (owners Turtle Bay Lodge) immediately give you a sense of welcome and hospitality.
Fiona and Jan will help you with questions about any excursions and provide information about the area.
We got an upgrade to the honeymoonsuite, very friendly!!
This room features a perfect bed with ditto mattress and a spacious bathroom with 2 showers
Really a brilliant room!!!
The breakfast is very extensive.
From "full English breakfast" and omelette to pancakes, "rolling tiffies" to yogurt with fruit and cereals.
St Lucia is a nice small town with cozy restaurants which is within walking distance of the lodge.
However, it is advised to go by car in the evening given the hippos walking through the streets.

Fiona and Jan took care of everything prior to our arrival, even booking the evening launch up the estuary. Perfect hosts, ensuring that we felt comfortable and relaxed in their beautiful environment. Our only regret was that we didn't bring 10 of our friends to enjoy the common outdoor pool/bar/dining area as well - it would be awesome for one of those weekends.

We found it very safe to walk, even at night, either along the street or the pier, waterfront walking trail. Lots of visitors out walking, well lit. Never felt unsafe
