It was wonderful to find this old-school-type rustic setting in the heart of the Lowveld providing everything you need for a Lowveld getaway. Not far from town, but you feel like you are in an African setting far away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Simple, but clean and convenient accommodation with great beds. Had the best sleep ever. Restaurant on site and a lovely pool too. Wi-fi works so well. Lovely area for an obstacle course, hiking, walks and fun runs on a Saturday. The only downer is the dirt road off the main road which is quite treacherous especially when raining. An SUV or 4 x 4 is a must. Great staff.

We just arrived here after six weeks traveling through SA to relax and enjoy the nature. The team made our three day stay an unbelievable stay we will remember for a very long time.
Campground was busy because of en event, so Johan has shown us the complete area and we could choose where we want to stay. So we spend the days in the nature with a perfect view. Service in the restaurant / bar also perfect.
So we found a unbelievable combination of nature and service quality. Highly recommended !

Had a quite relaxed evening and enjoyed walking the parkrun route and seeing all the game the farm has to view. Slept well and enjoyed the tough parkrun and breakfast the following morning. Will recommend for quick get away.

We spent one night at the Klipspringer Game Lodge during our family trip.
it was a really relaxing experience. at the arrival we did a game drive on the property, that is safe due to the fact that there are only herbivorous. The views are panoramic over the hills around. Later we had a family Brai , enjoyed by all of us.

The only downturn was the last 4km to the lodge which was a gravel road. We traveled with a 4x4 vehicle, but other visitors reached the lodge with normal sedan cars. This is a public road and the responsibility of Mbombela Municipality and it is a real pity to find it in such a state. We were pleasantly surprised about this little gem. The lodge is isolated and not near any roads carrying traffic that might steal the silence when you just need to relax. The manager and staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate everyone. The manager, Pieter, is well acquainted with the area and that was a big help in terms of roads to use and places to visit. This was a real value for money stay. Standard clean rooms which are cleaned on a daily basis. The lodge serve a hearty breakfast from early morning. The lodge also serve lovely value for money dinners. This really saves you a trip to town. They also have a fully stocked bar and a lovely pool area to relax by on a hot summer day. A big surprise was the wild life that we encounter at the lodge. Some of the animals came to sleep in front of the lodge at night. And early mornings the giraffe came for visits. Pieter and his staff are a real asset to the owners of this lodge . They ensure that guests enjoy their stay to Klipspringer Lodge. We will definitely be back.

The road to the lodge was terrible - actually need a 4x4 to get there. The entrance door to the reception was locked around midday when we got there and had to walk around looking for the owner. The bedding and mattresses are as old as the lodge itself. The pool was also very dirty. Very basic room and not value for money

One night during our way to Kruger... nightmare... dirty water, absolutely adequate half star lodge... never more... 100% dissuade 😤🙈. Breakfast was awful... surrounding scraggly... coffee just instant in small bags...no milk just creamer. Dirty dishes. I ate just wrapped muffin ...

We stayed at klipspringer lodge for almost two weeks. The bungalows weStayed in were clean and functional, I would sit on my veranda with my morning coffee and look across at zebras and other animals grazing on the land that belonged to the lodge. Breakfast was lovely, a variety of cereals, yogurt, toast, followed by a full English breakfast with coffee and juice. Paul and Mary own the lodge and nothing was to much trouble for them. We went in August which is winter in Africa, the temperature was lovely and the family were able to swim in the pool.

My family and I visited Klipspringer Lodge Nelspruit in August this year, we stayed for just under 2 weeks and what a wonderful holiday it was. The view from the bungalows was breathtaking the lodge has its own little safari and Paul the owner is always willing to drive you around his lodge where you can see zebras and other wonderful animals.
In the morning I would sit outside my bungalow and watch the animals grazing.
Paul and Mary the owners of the lodge prepared a wonderful breakfast of a variety of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, toast, and a full English breakfast with tea and coffee and fruit juice. Some days we requested pancakes and nothing was to much trouble. It’s currently winter in South Africa but on the days we had hot sun my family enjoyed swimming in the pool.
Paul drove us around for the whole 2 weeks taking us to Kruger, shopping, elephant sanctuary and much more.
Both Paul and Mary his wife went the extra mile for us and we are considering returning next year.
Thanks Paul and Mary we had a blast.

The owner and his team make sure that you are comfortable. I enjoyed the personal welcome and his hands on approach to his guests and their comfort. Just keep in mind that it is a game lodge but the treatment is exceptional. Thank you to Paul and Courtney.
