We had a very good stay. The property is well maintained. The chalets are clean and well equipped. The DSTV boquet could be better for entertainment. We really enjoy the resort and will become regular visitors. We are avid cyclists and the riding offered in direct vicinity is brilliant.
Second time around at Sudwala and happy to find there now is an awesome zipline experience from the caves all the way to Dinosaur Park. Really enjoyed the warm welcome on arrival from Nompumelelo and Promise and the two ladies' assistance and hospitality. Was quite a serene, relaxed outing with loads of bush walks, games and fresh air. The gym equipment needs an upgrade though.
The overall resort is lovely with beautiful views of mountains. Pros: - Units surrounding each of own pools thus no overcrowding at the pools which is nice. - The main entertainment area is well equipped and enjoyable area. Entertainment program is also warmly welcomed, especially the hikes and monday braai. - Staff are very friendly and always there to assist and provide recommendations. - Cleanliness of resort and rooms are of great quality, just some units had excess leaves outside by braai especially block 600 Downfalls: - no restaurant and even though there is a cafe for breakfast and lunch. If arrive on check in day and would like dinner after long drive instead of making it yourself, there is no facility to have a dinner on site as cafe closing early. and closest…
MY WEEK WAS TOO SHORT , ALL was perfect except[t for not accommodating my little one with a tub or sleeper couch as I was promised. however everything was of high standard and i will be buying my shares through lp. thank u for the experience see u very soon
When checking in, we were told our unit was not ready yet. We subsequently found the unit as booked had permanent residents. We were then allocated a much smaller unit, even though we were there for a full week. This unit had no parking, and we were then allocated another tiny unit. Our original booked unit was a large unit with separate lounge and dining area. We could only move to a large unit on the Monday which was no fun.
We spent a very happy week at Sudwala Lodge, with the beautiful tranquil mountains as a backdrop. So much for the children (5 and 1) to do. Seven swimming pools, jungle gyms, trampolines, mini golf, jumping castles, the Butterfly Effect nature garden being an absolute highlight and of course the Caves and the Dinosaur Park, also a short trip to visit the chimpanzees at Chimp Eden on the other side of Nelspruit. A really lovely holiday!
On sight when arriving the entrance looks like you about to step into tranquil environment of relaxation..we were very quickly shocked into reality.Because of covid regulations i understand they need to receive our basic health information but its a bit tedious and lengthy 1adults id details should be enough. When we arrived at the chalet its so tiny not to mention not clean floor was sticky also previous guest left their items and that indicated cleaning wasnt done.Bugs were everywhere which i get its located in a wild life area but you cant have a peaceful nights sleep swatting bugs of your pillow. Kitchen was tiny and served as a sleeping area also not ideal at all the architecture of that place is all wrong. There is alot of space to extend it out to make it bigger. The patio…
This was a trip to remember, the setting and placement of the resort left us in wonder. The friendliness and extreme helpfulness of the staff boosted our experience. Thank you for making us feel welcome and providing the facilities to enjoy the weather, the nature and surrounding facilities which are right on your doorstep.
Recommended for a nice, quiet, relaxing breakaway to re-charge. We had warm weather and the air conditioner in the room was a winner. Staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Loadshedding played a role but the resort eases that with a generator during peak times to limit downtime. Thank you!
We visited Sudwala Lodge first week of November. I must say the place is neat and the kids enjoyed every moment on the lodge. We meet good people. The friendly staff, big up to Caunda, Khosi and Betty by the kids area
