Welcome to your home in the bush. Tomjachu is an exclusive, family-owned private nature reserve set in over 550 hectares of game fenced mountain bushveld, located within the Crocodile Valley Nature Conservancy. Just 20 minutes from Nelspruit it overlooks the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park and the great Crocodile River valley. Whether you are looking for adventure or relaxation, with family, friends, or your loved one, Tomjachu offers something for everyone. On our trails, tracks and roads you can mountain bike through the bush on easy or challenging routes, hike amongst the abundant plains game and through mountains and valleys, go for a game drive or guided walk with a knowledgeable guide, enjoy a night-sky safari, and try your hand at fishing for bass and bream in our dams. Or simply unwind by the pool, listening to the orchestra of over 265 bird species, as the fresh mountain air trickles up from the valley below.

Our family stayed in the bush cottage for 7 nights, amazing views and location on the farm. Jay Dean and team were awesome, great service, they looked after us from the moment we arrived on the farm. Looking forward to our next stay

We got exactly what we booked, a smart house overlooking the whole area. We stayed for 4 nights and every single minute was worth it. Game, hiking trails, breakfast, dinner, all was perfect. We definitely recommend it and will come back

We had such high expectations. I must say, on a positive note, the location of this place is spectacular, and the tree is beautiful. Our room was adequate even though we had two singles beds pushed together with the uncomfortable join. The staff were dreadful. It was as if we had taken advantage of a price reduction and should be punished for it! We popped out for dinner one night (didnt trust the cooking of Tomjachu after being served raw pork sausages for breakfast) and returned to a darkened locked up main homestead! You have to ask for anything and everything. Towels are old and small. If you wait outside the kitchen at breakfast no-one offers coffee. I truly do not understand how any seasoned traveller will come away from this overated place happy.

Absolutely gorgeous, tranquil and peaceful. I can't fault this place. Great for bonding. Woke up every morning to watch the sun rise and the super moon on our last night was amazing. I wish we had more time there to do the activities at the lodge.
