Pensao Guesthouse is situated very close to all amenities, hospital, restaurants etc. It is very clean, well decorated spacious rooms. Staff is very friendly and we almost felt that it was a home away from home.

We received very good service when booking in. The room was comfortable and the bathroom as well. It is conveniently located to schools in the area.
I did feel a bit uncomfortable when checking in, because the other guests checking in at the same time had a lot of alcohol they were bringing in and it seemed like they had already consumed a fair amount. Fortunately there was no noise problems.

Lovely and helpful staff. From security to Receptionist. Comfortable bed and unique design of the bedroom. The pools were clean and big. Located in a nice neighbourhood within easy access to main roads.

We were on a long road trip in South Africa. We stayed here; as a launchpad for Kruger Park. We opted for a self-catering unit. Picked groceries from 'Spar' which is nearby & cook your own stuff. The owners are very warm & friendly.
You can 'braai' by the pool. There's nice little bar adjoining the reception.
The construction of the cottage is such; that even in summer, you dont need fans or A/C. The cottage had a huge living room, 2 bed rooms with kitchenette on the ground floor a/with a very large bedroom on the first floor. We always felt, were staying in "our home" A home away from home.

When we were (finally) let in through the electric operated fences, we were shown our room which was small, bare and had no atmosphere at all. The shower was having pressure problems, hot, cold hot cold. That said: The mattrasses on the beds were excellent.
In addition a 9 am check out time, when you are on holiday does not make me feel a welcomed guest.
It turned out to be a bad choice, as there are so many better guesthouses in Nelspruit. I would suggest to avoid this one.

We booked two rooms for 3 pessos (myself, my wife and our son), on the recommendation of friends. We were disappointed. One of the rooms has the pompous name "presidential suite". It's just a relatively large room, with poor decor. Above all, it was smelling very bad (something like cresol?) that it even caused headaches. The other room also had a somewhat pompous name: "executive suite." It's right next to the parking lot, so every time a car goes out, you have to wake up. The receptionist explained that the smell was due to the paint on the roof. He suggested that we open the door. Of course we had tried to open the door as soon as we arrived, but about an hour after, the smell was still intense. The receptionist tried to light a candle, but the smell was still there. We asked to change rooms. Knowing that the lodge was full, we asked for a bed or mattress to be added in the "executive" room. The receptionist said he could not do anything because there was no staff. You must already imagine why he does not consider himself a staff. We decided to change anyway, and I was going to sleep on the couch. Something happened in the concierge's conscience, who finally decided to bring the mattress from the "presidential suite", helped by a friend. I informed the receptionist that the next day we were leaving, even though we had paid for two nights. I demanded my money back for one night. At first he was reluctant to return the money, saying that I could only do so upon the permission of the master. I made it clear that, as a matter of principle, I would take the case to relevant authorities. he next day he finally gave me back the money. I would not need to say that they charged the "presidential suite" however we did not sleep there. We moved to a much better place, by the way, a great place.

Very disappointing. Little 1 star at the most. Could not wait to leave the next day
Bathroom was smelling. Filthy couch. Aircon does not function.
Sour lady at reception made us feel like she did us a favor.
I would miss this one completely

I have loved to stay at Pensão guest lodge. This is a nice place for business visit as well as for leisure. It is co=lose to everything in Nelspruit. The view from the colleens is remarkable. You can go there alone or with your family. There is a conference center as well.
