Lovely guest house, very clean and well maintained. Eric is very welcoming and has tons of information about the area and South Africa. Eric and his team went out of their way to make sure we had everything we could possible need - even looked after our laundry for us as a complimentary service. Breakfast was always enjoyable, with a generous packed breakfast for those early morning drives in the park. Proximity to Kruger Park is A bonus. Highly recommend.

This was our first visit and we will certainly stay again. Jeremy was a most attentive host and nothing was too much trouble. The position right next to the Malelane gate into Kruger meant getting into the park early was not a problem. Nice rooms with fan and air con, lovely swimming pool and are a to sit and relax. Thank you for a great stay.

Overnighted at Mhlati Cottages before entering Kruger National Park during December. Very impressed with the service, stay and the location of the Mhlati cottages only a stone throw away from the Malelane gate. Ideally located and equipped for anyone that would like to travel into Kruger as a day visitor or as a overnight stop before entering. The breakfast offered was also excellent.

A completely relaxing and rejuvenating 3 nights with our 7yo daughter at Mhlati Guest Cottages. Wonderful hosts Eric and Jeremy create a friendly atmosphere with that personal touch that goes hand-in-hand with owner-operated establishments.
We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful tropical garden, the swimming pool and the close proximity to the Malalane gate.

We have just spent five beautiful days at Mhlati Guest Cottages! Five days was too short - we could easily have stayed a few more days. Eric and Jeremy were wonderful hosts and made sure everything we had everything we needed. Everything was simply awesome. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with stunning ornaments and pictures. They are all beautifully decorated. The breakfasts were perfect, great selection, fresh fruit salad too divine. The location too is just wonderful - so close to the Malelane Gate. Truly was great value for money. I could write an essay about how special and superb this place is. The atmosphere is so chilled and relaxing and just the break we needed. We are already planning our next stay! ABSOLUTELY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY! I would highly recommend Mhlati Guest Cottages to anyone wanting a break, that is so close to the Kruger. Thanks to Eric and Jeremy for making our stay so great. Can't wait to come back again.

Excellent and unique style place to stay. Rooms are really big enough and comfortable for bigger families.

Owner cooks delicious breakfasts and always up for a chat. Amazing restaurant nearby called Hamilton’s.

Wonderful place and owner with a big pool for cool dip. So close to Malelane Kruger Gate as well for those looking forward to visiting Kruger and staying close by.

Wonderful residence in a safe surrounding close to Malelane Gate of Kruger Park. Very nice clean rooms, beautiful gardens and pool.
The fammily was very prominent in South African Boer history, and we got to hear a lot interesting abot history.
Absolutely to recommend!
