It was our first break since the start of the Covid lockdown (and during what became a quite short period of easier travel). We had visited the Hotel Numbi's Sunday carvery on previous occasions and decided to take an opportunity to enjoy lunch around the pool once again. Despite all the problems associated with starting up again after the protracted shut-down the Carvery delivered it normal wide range of offerings and good/please service. The wait staff showed a lovely sense of humour with efficient service.
My Email to the establishment is in the images below, regarding my complaints about the roaches and dirty duvets and Booking nightmare. The verbal response I received from the rude condescending Booking lady, not even the duty manager was that I had taken food and a flower to my room, firstly I never took any food and secondly the flower was from woolworths the roaches met me as soon as I opened my door, this place has potential but with the current stuff and no manager there to assist I feel cheated out of what was meant to be a romantic Anniversary getaway. Oh and after lots of arguing with the Booking lady coz apparently roaches are not a good enough reason to get a refund. I was only refunded for 1 nigh. I believe my entire stay should be refunded!
The hotel staff is amazing, even though they are under staffed, they manage to get things done and serve with a smile. We enjoyed our stay with my sister. I think the wifi should be adjusted because it only connects when you inside the rooms, having it available around the premises would be nicer. Thank you
Numbi Caravan Park seriously under-delivered on what was meant to be a great family break coming out of 12 months of Covid-lockdown. While the staff were very friendly and helpful the noise levels coming from the garden rooms adjacent to our camp site was horrendous. We couldn’t sleep for 2 of our 4 nights there due to a group of very loud and drunk guests who partied until 2am. There doesn’t seem to be policies in place to limit noise as there are in most of the other camp grounds we have stayed at. Hopefully management will look over their policies to prevent such incidents going forward. While the proximity to the park is great, our experience left a bad taste in our mouths and we will most certainly not be returning.
What a sad hotel whi h probably had its hey days in the 80s and 90s but sadly lack of investment and boom tourism years has meant that its been neglected. Our room on arrival was absolutely appalling. A stuffy 2 bedroom room with an aircon that barely worked, broken glass all over the patio, no fridge and not even a bath in a family room. Diety carpets and a musty smell it was just awful. I complained at reception and was upgraded to an "executive suite". There was nothing executive about it but at least it had a fridge and the aircon worked (40 degrees each day we were there so working aircon was non negotiable). Trying to get pool towels took 3 phone calls to housekeeping before they arrived. Trying to get food at the pool around 1130am I was told they dont do lunch at this time so can't help. Drinks ordered but no menu available and almost impossible to find a waiter. There is a restaurant on site but no in room menu to be found. Im still not sure we could even order room service?? Trying to get a pot of tea and milk...almost an impossibility at this place. 30mins after order a hot chocolate arrives but not tea. Back they go and another 20mins later tea and milk arrives. 1 hour later a knock on the door to pay for the tea (when we are already in bed about to go to sleep)...why the waitress couldn't bring the bill with the tea is beyond me?!? So many service issues! Breakfast: probably the worst offer I've ever had the displeasure of being served. Buffet in Covid times (interesting!) Variety is poor...nothing to write home about. After breakfast they hurrily ran to print me a bill to demand payment even though my rate was inclusive of breakfast (through Booking.com). I had to.prove to them by showing my booking confirmation. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at this place. Would not recommend to anyone. The only positive is that the staff afe actually lovely, warm, friendly and hospitable BUT hopelessly incompetent. The rooms need a major upgrade and some serious staff training. You could do so much with the staff who are warm and kind and probably eager to.learn and improve!…
