The chalets we had were great, beautiful i must say well maintained place clean though not entirely, nice play area for the kids all day hot environment the Lowveld but with so many water pools all was good. WE SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME AT THE BAR AS ADULTS BUT MY ADVISE TO FELLOW TRAVELERS IS CARRY A BIT OF CASH ON THE SIDE AS THE BAR STAFF CAN BE QUITE GENEROUS IN THAT REGARD, we were literally paying a quarter of our entire bill as long as Nathi was on shift. They run their own business in another business in that bar we got sloshed, the Beekman Group don''t have a clue how much money they're losing there. just my observation OVERALL WE HAD A GREAT TIME

A simple booking upgrade was a hustle. The manager Shawn was unhelpful and didn't care about customer service. He was not even interested in assisting us. I personally would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

This is a beautiful venue - great amenities and great situation. However, be very aware when you make your booking that what you request and pay for is not necessarily what you will end up with. We booked a 8-person luxury family unit with a private pool for a family get-together in December (we booked months in advance). Shortly before our trip, we were advised that we had been moved into a smaller unit (6-bed and two sleeper couches), with no private pool. This was because the unit owner wanted to book the unit. It was very disappointing, to say the least. After many, many phone calls, the head office agreed to refund the difference between what we had paid for and what we got. We had a good break... but just be cautioned that your booking can change at the whim of the owner, even if booked well in advance.

Dear Annied, Thank you for your review. Whilst we are pleased that you all enjoyed your family holiday at our resort, we do apologise for the inconvenience experienced through the change in unit size resulting from the owner of the originally booked unit exerting his usage right. Our units are owned by private timeshare owners, who make their weeks available for us to rent out. Kind regards Hazyview Cabanas

This resort is ok, but the kids love it. There are a number of pools including one that has a speed slide that the kids (and some adults) couldn’t get enough of. The jumping pillow also provides entertainment for children. There are a few things that need improvement such as housekeeping. The braai area seems to be overlooked when they clean so the ashes from previous braai mix with rain to form a sludge which means you can’t have your well planned braai. The bins outside behind the unit don’t seem to be emptied regularly which provides a breeding ground for roaches- which I saw 2 of. Our unit towels were removed by housekeeping on the second day and not replaced for the remainder of our 5 day stay. We always take our own, but it was inexplicable why they were removed. Also note that there is no housekeeping on Sundays and public holidays. Finally, in summer it is really hot and humid and the unit did not have air conditioning, just fans which blow around the hot air without providing relief from the heat. There is a convenience shop near the pools if you need to pick up a few things. It is super expensive (R30 for 1l of milk, R35 for 2l cooldrink, R5 for a lollipop, Dec 2020 prices) so you really pay for the convenience. The resort is conveniently located for exploring the area- close to Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route.
