The name “bushbaby valley” tells a story, named after the terrain and nocturnal animals found on the property. Bushbaby Valley lodge offers spectacular panoramic views, overlooking at the beautiful bush of the Sabie Valley. The lodge is situated approximately 13km from Hazyview, on the R536 road to Sabie. We are only 30 minute drive from various Lowveld attractions, such as the renowned Kruger National Park, God’s window, Three Rondawels, Blyde River Canyon, Mac Mac falls and Lone Creek falls. We had a first-class experience at Bushbaby. Being our first visit to South Africa, we were in awe of the beauty of the lodge, remote location, and most of all the staff that went over and beyond and made our Bushbaby experience unforgettable. The high-quality rooms are nestled in the African bush, capturing the beauty of the landscape and the sounds of the Sabie River. The rooms are clean, simple, beds extremely comfortable and the outdoor shower was a fun touch. Given the limited number of rooms this allowed for not too many people around and the feeling we were there alone with a dedicated staff and service, one morning the owner had breakfast with us and really took the time to take in our assessment of the lodge. We felt so privileged to stay in such a gorgeous lodge, and it gains more breathtaking as you walk around and take in the scenery. Bushbaby is on our top list of best places to stay; our experience was exquisitely first class. We would be remiss if we did not mention Felicity, her authentic personality and warm friendliness is unforgettable, she is all that encapsulates what Bushbaby represents. We cannot wait to stay there again. 😊

The staff was hospitable, courteous and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our spa treatments, romantic picnic for 2 and their delicious food, they made my husband's birthday a delight . The lodge is located in a convenient location close to major outdoor activities which includes quad biking, paintballing, river rafting, horse riding, crocodile farm, panorama route and the Kruger National Park. We are definitely going to be regulars at Bushbaby valley lodge.❤️

Shout out to Bushbaby for being a great host during our stay at the lodge!
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. You feel like in the middle of the jungle when you stand on the balcony.
The food was delicious, and they can prepare exotic game meat like impala and kudu’s fillet if you are into them.
The spa was a good surprise, would recommend to anyone in need of good relax.
We didn’t use the pool, but the staff was keeping it in shape constantly.
The staff was super friendly and dedicated. They made sure the breakfast was packaged and ready to go before our early morning game drives.
The only thing a bit frustrating was the limited WiFi speed, but to be fair, that probably had more to do with the local infrastructure than the lodge’s own network settings.

I was very disappointed with this place. I booked one of their villas with a splash pool. Arrived at the lodge and had to walk quite a distance first up, then down a set of stairs and then finally up a ramp. Room was hot due to no electric because of load shedding. Had to wait 30/40 minutes to switch on generator so that AC would kick on. Internet did not work for the duration of our stay. No phone in room and I couldn’t get cell phone signal. So once again had to walk down and then back up steps to inquire at reception about internet. Skipped going to breakfast in the morning due to more steps down to breakfast area. No golf cart on premises to carry your luggage. Main pool for lodge as well as our plunge pool appeared to be in need of a cleaning. Very few guests about. Was quite happy to be leaving in the morning!

The receptionist when we arrived was so sweet & amazing! Lunch at the restaurant was 2/10, too expensive for how it tasted. Our room service breakfast was great 7/10. The spa experience was ok felt rushed 4.5/10. The WiFi at our villa did not work at all. The water was cold on the 1st night but was fixed the next morning. Villa 3 was so stunning and the view as well 10/10.

Great service from the staff (Felicity is such a star). My main issue was with the villas. Villa 3 great, clean, but smaller of plaster I guess because it’s still a new unit (needs to be aired out) had to buy a diffuser and some candles to counter the smell. Had issues with hot water, burst pipe eventually. Moved to Villa 2 (hot water great) room has a mold problem, black mold. Not prominently visible but you can smell it. This is because the Villas I believe don’t get aired out and the moisture gets trapped. The color of the walls also hide the mold because it isn’t a bright color.
Outside of that, beautiful lodge, great service, very tranquil. Made my birthday weekend special with a small gesture, truly appreciated.

We stayed three nights and we had a perfect time there. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was well equipped and very comfortable. Nice big garden with view of the little stream. Road from Hazyview does have potholes but no big issue. Room has a moneybox /safe but not secured to wall or floor, that would be our only negative remark.

A wonderful place, totally immersed in the forest, with beautiful and super equipped rooms. The staff is really nice and welcoming. For my wedding anniversary, they made me find a surprise in the room, really sweet. Absolutely to recommend

Beautiful location, perfect rooms, very friendly staff. Three different swimming pools, good safety. Spacious room with good bathroom, kitchenette and sofa. Located 10 km outside the village but still 30 minutes from the Kruger Park entrance and not far from the Panorama route. Very good quality for the price.

I enjoyed my stay at Bush Baby. The only major problem is that there was a terrible smell in the bathroom and it was really bad. It made it difficult to stay in the room. And it was worse when I was sleeping. Please check Villa 2 we also told the receptionist. But overall it's a beautiful place and the service was good.
