The hosts could not be better here. Very friendly and helpful. The staff are equally as good. Such a cute little haven away from the city. The room we stayed in was very big and has a lovely charm about it. The food was good quality. You need to have a hire car as it is not

SimonRHalifax hit the nail on the head. I would add that the Lowveld offers more than just Kruger (which gets a bit boring after the 1000th or so rooibok). Checking with Rob or Dawne at Ashbourne is a good idea. There are many unexplored / unheralded but interesting things to do and see besides animals. Go wild yourself with the ability to change plans, so drive yourself after you've learnt to avoid the potholes.
