From the time we arrived, to the day we checked in we were treated like royalty. The accommodation is absolutely breathtaking. The service absolutely exceptional. Ashbourne Country Escape is the perfect escape to take a break, recharge and breath in fresh air. Rob and his team have mastered the art of hospitality and treating people with kindness and making everyone feel special. We can't wait to go back over and over again. I would highly recommend this beautiful place. The views are stunning and uninterrupted. The food delicious. Words can't explain Ashbourne, it is an absolute EXPERIENCE. It breaths life into your soul. We can't thank Rob, Charles, the Chef and the amazing ladies that cleaned our room daily. Please go see this place for yourself.

We had arrived at the hotel everything was normal until they showed us our room. It was dirty and there was a bird in our room so we had to bring it outside, we let it slide. But later that day, after dinner, we found a frog jumping around the room, so, again, we had to bring it back outside. Then before sleeping we found a lizard and a spider crawling around our room.

Loved this lodge as a base for Kruger. Rob and his team where amazing, food was wonderful, accomodation was impeccable and our kids loved the animals. And the best sundowner spot by the pool. Tina the chef is fabulous and really accomodating for kids. Charles was also loved by our girls. Highly recommend for families.

What a gem perched on top of a hill with magical views The owners Rob and Dawne have created wonderful tasteful rooms each with their own character. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were wonderful . I am a Coeliac and the chef provided me with all my dietary requirements which made my holiday.

What an incredible, magical place. We have been blessed to travel the world and Ashbourne Country Escape was superb. Top 10 on our list of places to go. Rob and Dawn are fantastic hosts who were beyond accommodating. Their knowledge of the area, beautifully decorated accommodation, gorgeous breakfasts and intimate dinners as well as and the friendliest and most helpful staff - Charles and Thandi. The images on site do not do this beautiful place justice. It is a must for relaxation and an absolute treat. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely time, From Corne and Natalie

I have just spent a week at Ashbourne Country Escape. I really did not want to leave. Rob is the perfect host. This hidden gem has views "for Africa" sunrise and sun set, both spectacular. I was smitten before I arrived as one drives through natural bush veldt forest catching sight of red duiker and Nyala on the way to the lodge. It is a stones throw from Kruger Park. I cant wait to return next year.

I stayed in room 10 which is so well set up and you feel absolutely pampered by the comfort. The room has a panoramic view of the Lowveld, which when you wake up the scenery is absolutely stunning. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the food was exceptional as always. The hosts, Dawne and Rob, are so knowledgable about what to do and where to go in the area. They really have created a unique African experience.
