We needed a well deserved escape from JHB and found a a gem just 4 hours out in the beautiful town of Hazyview. We were welcomed with open arms to the most beautiful tented camp where we automatically felt like family! The tents equipped with comfy beds and a full on bathroom! What more could a girl (and her family )ask for. On top of it then were welcomed by the most amazing staff. from the mangers to waiters. We went with a 5 year old little girl and it gave me so much comfort to know that the staff had her best interest at heart. There is an amazing beach (just off the Sabie river) where by she played with beach toys and made sand castles. Keeping her busy for hours. A pool to swim in. And never mind the beautiful Sabie river that we swam in every day and tried fishing for the first time. The food was amazing and innovative, each night a complete delight! We completely relaxed on our 4 day glamming experience. Gosh I’m not one for tubing down a river but it’s available right in front of the lodge, I gave it a shot and it’s definitely a thrill and everyone that goes there needs to give it try! It truelly was an amazing experience and I only thank Heath and his amazing team for such a wonderful experience. We really felt like it it was a home away from home.

We stayed five nights in the river view tent. The staff and management are very friendly. I really recommend. We ate very well, we had a new starter, main course and dessert menu every day.

The decor in the tent was a bit old, from the closet, for example, a drawer hung down. It could have been a bit cleaner overall. Breakfast and dinner were very delicious. The way to the tents and the restaurant is via a steep unpaved road. The staff was very friendly.

Stayed at the tented camp as part of a tour. Beautiful site and area of the camp along a river valley with surrounding mountains. Restaurant and bar area are very nice. The actual tents are nice as well but could have been terrific. Beds are comfortable with nice area inside the tent. However, the actual bathroom needed drastic repairs. Couldn't use the shower because the shower base leaked everywhere. The bathroom sink was not positioned right to get the water from the faucet into the sink. Management needs to fix what is wrong and will have a very nice property!
