We actually got accommodation in this beautiful hotel by chance as were staying in its neighbouring Hotel Numbi for 5 days but there were 2 large groups booked in there and we were consequently offered our last 2 nights at no extra cost in Little Pilgrims and it was superb, with huge comfortable rooms and great relaxation area outside with bar beside the pool and so much fun with all the other International guests. The food was great but we also visited their associated restaurants, Topolinos a great Italian and Pioneers where I had the best steak I’ve ever tasted at and it is so good, the South African International Rugby Union team the Springboks, arrived for dinner on same night we were there. Also, only 10 mins drive from entrance to Kruger National Park so ticked all the boxes.

We visited little pilgrims was an amazing experience for my family we went there to celebrate my birthday and Tracy helped my husband plan something special to surprise me and I really appreciate it so much Tracy was more like a friend to us her cheerfulness was a highlight. The rooms are clean and we also got extra blankets and a cot for my toddler. The food from breakfast to dinner was really delicious and affordable our waiter Collins treated us like royalty he was friendly and accommodating he always made sure that we got everything we needed he even went an extra mile to accommodate my toddlers food preferences he really made our stay there extra special. The beauty spa there is very tranquil and my massage therapist Nonhlanhla is the best I was apprehensive about the massage but Nonhlanhla made me feel comfortable and didn’t mind that I was ticklish. Overall this place is great thank you to all the staff members definitely coming back soon.

We recently stayed at Little Pilgrims Boutique Hotel in Hazyview and found this to be a really nice place to stopover before or after trips to Kruger National Park (KNP). Reservation was made through booking.com. We were very well received upon check-in and were quickly into our room. Front desk service was very friendly, they have luggage storage if needed as well.

Our room was comfortable and spacious. Bed comfortable, desk, chair, TV, A/C, Wifi and kettle all worked just fine. Bathroom was fine, shower water pressure good as well. Rooms enclose an open area with pool, bar, restaurant (Wagon Wheel Saloon) and garden area with trees. There is plenty of enclosed parking as well. We had a pretty good dinner and they prepared a hearty and good breakfast box that we were able to take early the next day for our day into KNP.

Overall, we really liked Little Pilgrims Boutique and would gladly stay here again in the future before or after longer stays at the SANS Park rest camps inside Kruger. It is a comfortable, clean and relaxing place to rest up a bit in Hazyview.

We booked for 3 nights from 25-28th of December, the room description stated 1 king and 2 single separated by a door, when we got to the hotel, tired and hungry after a 9 hour drive the room allocated was 2 doubles. I brought this to the attention of management but to no avail or help, the manager then suggested he will find an extra bed to extend the double which i accepted for the night and to resolve the issue with the reservation clerk the next day. He then couldnt find a bed to keep his word! Room was filthy and dusty, blinds and floor had dust on them, shower didnt work as the water coming out was a trickle. We tried to have an early night but was near the dining room and the noise was unbearable.
The next day i called the reservation clerk Goodman, who insisted he gave me the correct room, when we showed him the description on Agoda he arrogantly then argued that its Agodas problem and mistake and not his problem. he then also insisted that the room was not available and promised to check and call me back, 2 hours later i called him again and his arrogance increased and said he is checking and will call me back, still no call. after a long day at Kruger we get to the Hotel and find that we been allocated the correct room finally BUT our belongings have been moved without our consent after explicitly been told not to touch our things! the room aircon didnt work in the 35 degree heat in the small room, the bath tub tap was clogged and the sinks also.
I requested that the reservation clerk refund me the difference between he room i booked and the one he gave me for the 1st night and he just laughed. i also repeatedly requested the managers number and contact details which they refused to give me

Due to Covid lockdown our trip originally planned for March 2020 was extended to December. Such a disappointment to arrive and see how neglected the place is. Decking all loose and nails exposed. Broken railings etc, a law suite waiting to happen. The food in the restaurant was dismal and people with smaller kids don’t want to eat after 8pm and then wait another hour for food to arrive. Food was terrible with mainly starch and protein being served and staff complacent and apathetic. We have been home well over a week and are STILL waiting for our reimbursement that is due to us. We loved Mpumalanga itself but sadly Little Pilgrims dampened our experience

Special location with very friendly staff. The staff who provided the catering were very cheerful and friendly. The hotel gave us a bit of a country & western feel. The rooms are all on the ground floor (4 rooms on a small corridor), have a seating area for 2 people outside the room and are close to the pool and restaurant. There is an outdoor bar where drinks can be enjoyed. The hotel also offers massage and a hairdresser. Great food (buffets).
Hotel is located close to Kruger Park and is therefore ideal if you want to participate in a safari. The panoramic route is also great to do from this hotel.
Our tour guide advised us to stay in the hotel after 1800h for safety reasons.

This was an mazing "Little" boutique hotel in Hazy view easy to locate. The staff were wonderful and we really enjoyed our visit. perfect venue to use as a launching pad for visiting the Kruger, other sanctuaries and restaurants in the area. Great outdoor pool and bar facilities and restaurant and the breakfast was amazing. Our themed room was huge and had all the facilities required, Totally recommend this venue for families and large groups.

Big room big bathroom, drink (fruit based when you arrive) good bed, with international plug. Kettler for making coffee or tea, good breakfast with box if you have to go away early in the morning or in the restaurant. Good dinner in the restaurant the service sometimes is a little bit slow but this is Africa. Wifi only in the swimming pool area, for social use is good . Sometimes electrical blackout are possible (backup generators are available )

Excellent base for visiting Kruger. Very kind staff. Clean and large rooms with en-suite bathroom. Good breakfast and the restaurant also prepares decent dishes. Poolside bar which however is tiny. Wi-Fi only works in the pool area. Great price
