Quiet spot only 20 minutes away from Kruger entrance park. Nice spacious rooms, built and decorated in local style. Very friendly owners who organize a daily sundown drink on the terrace. Lovely breakfast in the beautiful garden. Owners are also really helpful for booking activities and so on.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay. Phil and Margi are gracious hosts. The grounds are beautiful, so lush and tranquil. The rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast is delicious. The Kruger national park is just up the road, and Phil gave us some great tips about visiting Kruger. (Lake Panic Hide is magical!!)

A lovely, peaceful retreat. Blue Jay lodge offers spacious, super comfortable accommodation in a unique setting. Rooms are located in a lush and gorgeous garden setting, complete with the sounds of numerous bird species and even occasional and hilarious visits by vervet monkeys. The hosts could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and charming.

Stayed 7 nights bed and breakfast at the end of April 2022. Secluded location but just minutes from local facilities. Very handy for Kruger and the Panorama Route. First class hosts and brilliant breakfasts. Clean and spacious accommodation in a mature green garden.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Jay Lodge. The lodge is beautiful and serene and our room was Paradise indeed! The BREAKFAST was such a scrumptious joy, not to mention the warmth we received from the hosts. A complete home away from home.

Blue Jay Lodge was a home away from home, the breakfast was great, all the bookings i requested were done, the location of the hotel is well within the malls and good restaurants, the overall service was without any doubt the best. I would consider the Blue Jay Lodge again in the future and also recommend it to friends and family.

Location was fantastic if you are wanting to visit local attractions. Owners really friendly! The room itself was extremely spacious & clean. Particularly inviting to non locals as the whole environment created an ethnic feel.

We spent a lovely night at the Blue Jay en route to the park. Phil and Margi could not have been better hosts and the rooms had every amenity needed. We particularly enjoyed the fresh coffee in the room which is unusual. Definately should be top of you list of you are looking for a great place to overnight in Hazyview.
