I was booked into this lodge by our local office, nice big, clean rooms, comfortable bed, decent big shower, internet, small fridge in the room. Please note, they DO NOT serve food outside of breakfast 0600-0800 (I arrived at 0810 to find the dining hall locked) and dinner which I THINK is 1800-2000. At best you can get crisps from the bar, I had no car so was essentially isolated for the two nights I was here and I had to ask my office to move me to a more populated location with restaurants.

Lovely place to stay other than for snacks/lunch and had I a car with me, I would have stayed for the whole duration of my stay in Lephalale.

I went to this lodge in February and I don't regret my choice at all. The room was very clean. Good service. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Honestly there's nothing I didn't like about this lodge I have really enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful rooms, clean and good size. The food also not bad, breakfast was pleasant.
If it was not for the co-joining doors which let in the noises next door, I could hear the neighbors conversation and tv. Otherwise I would have given this place an " excellent" rating.

Room is a pigsty. I am too scared to use the shower in fear of foot disease. Smelly, dirty and everything is way past its expiry date. Aircon, carpets, furniture.... Toilet/bathroom stinking. Smells like a dead rat. Avoid at all cost. Never ever again.

At 7:45am, house keeping barged in without knocking wanting to take the sheets and towels. I told them to return after I had left for work. Sulk.
That evening I noted that House keeping ommitted to put the usual small milk sachets in the fridge and there was no coffee. I suppose that was punishment for leaving the room so late.
The room has a microwave - but no plate and only one metal tea spoon and a plastic fork and knife. I suppose I am expected to use the tray in the microwave?
There was a table lamp - but there was no adapter to plug in its two pin plug into the wall.
At 8:10am i was told I could not have breakfast as reakfast was only until 8am.
On the following day I went to breakfast at 7:45. I was the only one left to cook for - so I got sulky faces and instead of crispy, the bacon seemed either boiled or cooked in a microwave and was swimming in some orange coloured grease. I did not eat it.
Dinner the night before consisted of big cuts of tough steak or borewors - with starch and salad. Dessert is only offered if you ask for it. There was chicken the night before so I suppose I should not complain.
The residents of the house accross the road kept up a noisy sidewalk party until 10pm.
The Television programme selection is dreadful - there is not even SATV 3 and a request to include it was met with sullen reply that it would mean removing one of the sport channels and that this would affect other guests so it could not be done.
The place appears to be geared to provide meals and accomodation to the local power station contract workers who are told where to stay whether they like it or not.
The place is clean and there are lots of pillows on the bed - that is about the only positive thing I can say about it.

Whilst a female colleague and I were preparing for a strategic planning session in a common room area, we were harrassed by the hotel management to vacate this general area as they close at 10pm. They are unable to offer us any alternative area to work in but our rooms. We are refusing to move from here, as neither of us are comfortable working in each other's rooms. The security company and the hotel manager arrived, and we have firmly refused to remove ourselves from the common room area. They have now contacted the police and have proceeded to lock us in. At this point we had to take a decision to stop working and to leave to avoid embarrassment for my company by being escourted from the premises.

We strongly believe that some form of action needs to be taken against the hotel and its management based on the humiliating way that we have been treated (Tourism Council Grading Authority or any other relevant authority)

My husband and I spent the night at Mosate Lodge in Polokwane as we had to attend a function there.
I noticed that the hotel was on a very busy road through the town centre and as we booked in I mentioned that I hoped we were not in a room facing the busy road - silence from the reception staff. There are many rooms in the establishment and the hotel seemed quite empty.
The room did indeed face on to the main road and the traffic noise was constant, day and night.
This experience spoilt an otherwise really good stay at Mosate Lodge

Stayed one night while passing through Limpopo. It was quiet as it was a weekend so we had a good rest in the tastefully furnished room. The staff were very helpful and we were well looked after. One problem was finding the lodge as it is just off the corner of two busy one way streets and not well signposted. We got lost looking for it as we arrived after dark. We would certainly return when next in the area.

From the time we entered the parking the staff were friendly, patient and attentive to our needs. They set up our room beautifully and refreshed it swiftly during the breaks. The food was plentiful and delicious.

I was in Polokwane for a wedding and found Mosate Lodge on Booking.com (the locals pronounce it Moshate).
I arrived from the airport around 7 PM.
I was expecting their restaurant to be open but they were about to close and had not prepared any food. Receptionist was kind enough to give me options of restaurants in the area that delivered. And 40 minutes later I had a meal. There is a TV in the top right corner of the room (a bit too far up if you want to sit on the bed) with dstv and most channels you would want to watch. In addition, there's a safe, bar fridge, electric kettle and air con.
One annoying thing was the shower head was broken and water flow was erratic.
Also, my room faced a busy street on one side and the first night was a nightmare as there was lots of (loud) traffic till the early hours of the morning. Second night was better. Kitchen staff are helpful and very friendly. They have the usual English breakfast buffet. There was plenty of cereal, yoghurt, juice etc. to choose from. They also prepared chicken, bacon, sausage and eggs etc.
Wifi is available all around the property. You're given a log in voucher. It's not stated, but I assume it's about 250MB limit. Mine run out on the second day when I tried to watch a YouTube video. You can request a top up at the Receptionist, I am not sure how much it costs though.
Check out is strictly 10 AM - I got a call at 10:05 reminding me that time was up.
Would give it a 3.5 rating.
