I cannot begin to describe how amazing I found the venue to be. I got married on 31 October 2020 and the entire experience was the bushveld break we all needed. My guests continue to rant and rave about the wedding, the staff and the food.

The food is utterly divine. I really cannot fault anything on our chosen menu.

The accomodation is everything that you need with various options to suit varying budgets.

I loved not having cell reception as it allowed all us city folk to escape the Gauteng hustle and bustle. No one's work could interrupt the beauty of the bushveld and we could really sit back, take in our surroundings and enjoy great company.

I loved the exclusivity of the venue. Taking the weekend package from Friday to Sunday was really worthwhile and I would recommend it to all brides. Guests will not regret arriving on the Friday.

The farm itself is breathtaking from the cliff venue where we had our ceremony to the fig tree and game drives. I would go back in a heartbeat.

A big thank you to Jason, Matt, Charlotte and the rest of the Kuthaba team. Kuthaba is a real gem.

We could not have chosen a better place to have our wedding. Jason and his team made our wedding journey effortless, smooth and so special. The setting is breathtaking, and the lodge set up just celebrates the natural beauty of the location. The staff were wonderful and considerate, the food was plentiful and so delicious, and the well-set up rooms could accommodate all our guests for the weekend. We loved the self-catering and pool area. We had sundowners at the Cliff Venue on the Friday evening and had our ceremony at the Fig Tree on the Saturday. It was everything we could have imagined and more, the whole experience was perfect!

We attended a family wedding. I must say this venue is built out of the bush. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Even the owner is hands on. Will definitely recommend this venue for any function.
Thank you Kuthaba Lodge

We stayed at Khutaba as part of a wedding party that was getting married at the venue on the Saturday afternoon. We spent the Friday and Saturday night at the lodge. We stayed in a red ivory 4 sleeper unit and it was lovely. Each unit is beautifully located and laid out. I love the bathroom design. The only thing that I can fault the units on is not have any ceiling fans or air conditioning, it gets very hot in the units. The lodge manageress is extremely welcoming and is super helpful, as well as all the other staff. I am in love with the infinity swimming pool. Be prepared to have little to no signal, but hey it’s all part of the bush experience. So much to write about but instead let the pictures do the talking.

Kuthaba hosted our wedding over the Easter weekend with our guests arriving on Sunday the 21st and the wedding was on Easter Monday the 22nd. From the moment the guests arrived they were astounded by the beauty of the venue.

The first evening was spent with friends and family with the sun setting, and a relaxing perfect venue for a pre-wedding get together enjoyed by all. The wedding was on the cliff at 15:30 - A perfect spiritual site that left many speechless. With the sun setting the guest gathered in the raised Pre-drink area, overlooking the trees and lawn with the bush a short distance away, while the wedding party were having photos taken down by the beautiful small lake and grass veld.

The Boma was in its true African setting, with the lights hanging overhead , the gravel floor and the bon fire in the middle , wow what can I say, other than magical, all with the natural surrounding of the bush as your back drop.

Jason and his team are what makes Kuthaba the most amazing destination wedding venue. We planned our wedding from Dubai, but the team made it feel effortless in the way they communicated, their professionalism, friendliness and attentiveness to our every need, with nothing being too much of an effort. The accommodation was loved by all and the relaxed atmosphere allows your guests to feel as if they were on their own getaway. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting a special weekend wedding.

Heartfelt thank you to Jason and his team.

We spent a wonderful weekend wedding at Kuthaba . We were in a chalet, but there are camping spots and tented accommodation.
The wedding ceremony took place underneath the most beautiful fig tree. It's magnificent branches provided shade for the whole wedding party and gave a magical feel to the whole celebration. It was a beautiful, unique experience.
The accommodation was comfortable, but a bit too basic. Small but in my opinion , irritating oversights that could make a big difference: no coffee table or in fact any table inside the chalet. The design of the reading lamps provided no light, one could not read. Also , there is no connectivity at all , so if you need a digital detox , this is ideal.
The weekend was self catering , except for the wedding buffet which was scrumptious. As was breakfast which was provided the next morning. Good food .
As a wedding venue , beautiful, unique with the fig tree standing out as the absolute hero . As a weekend in the bush ? There are so many choices , I would scout around a little more.

We stayed at Kuthaba Bush Lodge in October 2016 for a wedding. Our self-catering chalet was neat and tidy, with two bedrooms and a bathroom. The chalet in very private, and you can barely see the other chalets from the unit. When we arrived a few impala were grazing just behind the chalet, which really made us feel like we were living in the bush. The facilities are quite basic - there's no TV in the chalet, the kitchen is stocked with just the bare necessities, and there was no air-conditioner in our chalet. Although towels were provided, there's no guest soap (apart from hand wash) or guest shampoo in the bathroom. The beds were extremely comfortable though, and there was plenty of hot shower water for our party of four.

There's some cracks in the walls of the chalet which need to be repaired, and the plastic chairs and table on the deck outside the unit was very worn. Just a warning - the gravel roads in the reserve aren't really suitable to low-slung sedans. Also, there's no internet connectivity, and cellphone reception is only barely available in one corner of the reserve, so if you want to be disconnected from the outside world, this is the spot for you.

The wedding was awesome though - the food was great, the facilities looked fantastic, and the marriage ceremony on the cliff-tops will remain in our memories for a long time.

AMAZING!
There is simply no other way to describe the experience here.
Visited for a friends wedding, and the staff and location could not have been a better welcome to South Africa.
When we were due to arrive there was heavy rain, so the team there (Justin) was great and met guests in the local town to bring them into the lodge the safest way without getting stuck as the back roads had become quite muddy. The whole staff and team at the lodge then helped direct everyone to their accommodations across the location.
Food provided across the whole weekend was delicious, full of flavour - could not fault.
Facilities around the site we cleaned regularly.
Wildlife, where do you even begin, from the main lodge area with self catering kitchen, BBQ area and pool you can spot giraffe wondering around as well as a whole host of other animals and wildlife.
Such stunning views across locations.
