Thabaphaswa is a special destination for the true nature lover. Experience the most amazing sunrises when the sun grazes the mountain tops. Gaze at the stars on clear evenings from your bed in our uniquely designed shelters. Enjoy a fresh outdoor hot shower and prepare breakfast under a canopy of trees. Thabaphaswa is a farm in the Limpopo bushveld that provides the complete adventure experience. We provide cottages, camping and caters for day visitors. Farm experience, farm dam swimming, dog friendly, rock climbing, hiking and trailing, 4X4, tree spotting, birding, stop-over to Africa and wheelchair friendly. The specially designed Bush Camps are totally different from what you will experience elsewhere. They are so unique that even architects from overseas visit to observe and study them We also have several campsites that provides for basic needs such as clean, flush toilets and hot water showers but maintains the "in the wild feeling" under shaded trees.

Stayed in dome rock over new years. Fantastic venue. Interesting accomodation set within the bouldery mountainside. Staff light the donley bolier twice a day which was great. Really nicr outdoor showers with good pressure. No electricity- just the way we like it. Torches provided by owner. Wood sold on site. Very dog friendly venue, which was wonderful. We hiked, mountain biked and did some rock climbing. Will definitely be back

Dear Anthea It gives us so much pleasure to hear how our guests enjoy their stay with us. After a number of lockdown periods, we are trying our very best to provide in the needs of people and their pets to get out in nature and escape the bad news and challenges of modern life. Our guests can for instance detox from cellphones and the internet. We look forward to your next visit to us at Thabaphaswa. Kind regards Deon

This was an overnight stop en route to Botswana. A little tricky to find, especially when you are not used to gravel tracks. However it was worth it. We wanted quiet and big african skies, which we definitely got.
We stayed in the pump house (there are camping options) which, what it lacks in electricity more than makes up for in charm. Deon is a charming host who did everything to make us feel welcome. Sharing his Braai (bbq), learning about SA history and chatting about rugby over glass of wine was a perfect way to spend an evening.

Thabapashwa Mountain Sanctuary outside of Mokopane, South Africa is a place to leave cares behind and just breathe. Easy to challenging hiking trails. We chose easy that included to foefie slides into dams - one of them almost covered with the most beautiful water lillies. Looking around every now and again just brings peace as the scenery is so beautiful nestling between the mountains. Found the Bush camp
during our hike and really want to spend a weekend with friends. Mountain biking trails also available. Affordable rates and friendly owners. I have also previously been birding there - lovely. Small game on the farm and the friendliest dogs!
