Value
We at Avoca Vale Country Hotel would like to enrich our valued guests with some history of the hotel and all that we have to offer. The name of the hotel comes from the previous owner Dr. Matt Flynn's Irish roots and brings some changes. Avoca Vale is an idyllic spot in Ireland- and what can be more tranquil than a charming hotel overlooking the majestic Soutpansberg, with a large garden laced with roses, lilies an all colourful flowers and serene pool? The building that houses the reception area, lounges and dining room used to be a farmhouse that dates back many decades. The hotel has an old-world ambience and offers traditional hospitality and service at affordable rates. Dining The hotel serves a full English breakfast every morning from 6 am till 9 am, for lunches we serve a delicious a la carte menu with fantastic starters through mains and deserts served from 10 am till 9 pm. On Sunday's we have a special luncheon with delectable meals and deserts, we ask that our valued guests book ahead for the Sunday luncheon as it is very popular and gets fully booked often. You can call us at any time to make a reservation so we can insure you have the most pleasant stay possible. We have several beautiful dining areas, the Drake dining room offers a touch of class and luxury, the veranda offers a beautiful scenic view overlooking the garden, pool and gorgeous mountains. Finally we have opened the breathtaking garden area for our dinning guests and weather permitting we can serve our delicious meals in the tranquil garden setting. Lodging Avoca Vale Country Hotel has several breathtaking garden wing suites; we have beautiful hotel suites and very cosy family suites. The main area hosts a luxurious dining room, two comfortable lounges, a conference venue inside, weather permitted conferences and other social events can be hosted in the garden area with reservations only. All of the rooms including the original rondawel rooms of the guest farm have been refurbished to accommodate our valued guests in affordable luxury. Avoca Vale Country Hotel is located on the N1, 11 km from Louis Trichardt on the way to Musina Thank you for your time, have a great day, we hope to hear from you soon

We visit the new hotel over the first weekend in November as a family, 3 adults and 2 small children. The new hotel rooms were absolutely spotless, the most comfortable beds, modern finishers, small personal touches and such friendly service from all the staff members. We had the most wonderful restful weekend away, enjoyed lovely cooked food and a place we definitely will be visiting again.

We arrived after a very long and hot experience at Beit Bridge. Well appointed establishment where we were warmly received at reception, had the choice of ample parking (even for our caravan), and allocated a beautifully furnished and spacious room. Meals were delicious and the B & B option was excellent value for money. All TV channels worked, work area was practical, room was spacious and beautifully furnished. All public area furnishings were period-appropriate and tastefully put together. We highly recommend this country hotel to travellers of all ages.

Stopped off here for one night en route from Pretoria to Punda Maria gate at KNP. The hotel is laid out on a hillside with a verandah on the old main building looking out over a large lawned area with pool and braai. Our room in the separate 2-storey modern accomodation block was clean, well equipped and had excellent aircon with no load shedding interruptions during our stay. We had a nice and very inexpensive meal in the restaurant (which sadly had run out of red wine!). Breakfast the next morning was great also.

Great to see the what was formerly the Inn on Louis Trichardt back in business as the Avoca Vale Country Hotel. Rae has done a wonderful job in getting the place into tip-top condition. The Sunday lunch was simply wonderful.

I spent a night here on my way to Zimbabwe -- just off the main highway north of Louis Tritchardt, the location is perfect to allow one to get to the Beitbridge border early in the day. The hotel's grounds are very attractive and the pool very tempting. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Dinner was good and breakfast was excellent. The staff were extremely pleasant and efficient. By mistake I left some important things in my room and the owner called my home (in London!) to say that they would be kept for me -- 10 days later I passed by the hotel to collect the items. I would certainly stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel last year August with hotel manager Ray and staff and had an amazing stay, in clean accommodation with absolutely awesome food. I decided to stop over there a week ago and just turning in off the main road realised that things had obviously changed. I none the less drove in and had a look at the rooms and was shocked to see how they have deteriorated.
I will not refer my colleagues here again.
I highly recommend Gail and Alistair at Igababa Cabin just down the road for friendly management and clean accommodation.

Food is of very high quality. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms neat and tidy although a bit out dated. Beautiful setting between the Soutpansberg. Very nice wedding venue. Enjoyed a weekend stay with family and friends.

We went to have the Sunday Buffet. The food is traditional and tasty. It is not for the culinary adventurous but more to have a good hearty family meal is a comforting old school hotel.

The menu changes every week and therefore I would suggest calling them to find out what they are serving.
