There is just no other place to stay in the Louis Trichardt area, but at Pecan Farm Guest House.
My stay was for a business trip, but I wish it was for pleasure! There are so many places to go from there!
Right from our arrival, we felt at home. Our hosts, Dave and Louanne, are genuine, people-loving and so accommodating. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and every small detail was thought of.
The food was excellent and all meals can be had at the guest house. The gardens are exquisite and the sunsets to die for!
I can recommend Pecan Farm Guesthouse to business and leisure travelers alike!

If you want to experience the most beautiful part of the world on the border of the Kruger National Park, in the heart of the Levubu Valley. The beautiful tranquil sourroundings envelope you as you hear the baboons grunting and the birds in song. Beautiful palm trees with green valleys and a pool in the rock invites you into this world. Jan and Rita's hospitality is of international standards and her cooking skills are of the highest quality. Staying there you are invited into their world and everything slows down to a gentle pace as you take in the walks and drives and scenery.

The photos on the website do nothing to explain how special this beautiful place is - a real 'home away from home'. From the moment they meet you in the driveway, Jan & Rita do everything to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are HUGE with comfortable beds and all the little extras you need. The house is surrounded by an enormous garden with beautiful trees and the pool is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day. Rita's farm food is wonderful - leave some extra time to do justice to the breakfast - our fruit salad had 12 different fruits! The area is an excellent for birding and this is a perfect launching place to take a guided birding day. I hope to be back soon

Amazing Gem off the beaten track but close enough to Louis Trichaard or Elim. Rita and Jan hospitality was excellent. Definitely ask Rita to prepare dinner for you . It was better than most restaurants.
The 9 guest rooms are well appointed with everything you need. Plenty parking, lovely outdoor area . Pool. Could have stayed an extra night.

Plaas Guesthouse is run by Jan and Rita. They give you the feeling that you are really at home. First time we came here, about 18 years ago, the driver who took us there said 'welcome to paradise'. And it was -and still is- like that indeed. Plaas has a lovely garden with beautiful old trees. It is great to sit at the terrace and overlook the valley. The rooms are excellent. They are spacious, with great beds and lovely bathrooms (to which the term 'room' actually does apply. Rita definitely cooks the best meals we had in South Africa. She made us a very tasty vegetarian dinner. But most lovely of all, Jan and Rita are great people that do make you feel welcome and at home.

We stayed at Plaas Guesthouse for one night on our way from Tuli Block (Botswana) to Kruger NP. The owners, Jan & Rita, are friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room and en-suite bathroom were spacious and clean. The garden around the guesthouse is very big, beautiful and well-maintained. There is a nice swimming pool too. The food was outstandingly good. We were the only guests, but for dinner as well as for breakfast there was much choice. Wifi is available in the lobby / dining area. The guesthouse is easy to reach from the main road. Good value for money.

I've stayed at the Plaas Guest house numerous times over the past year while doing business in Levubu. Jana and Rita's hospitality never disappoints. The room are very comfortable and clean with all the amenities that you would need. The setting is lovely and tranquil as all the rooms look out onto the lush gardens. Possibly the best part about the stay here is Rita's cooking. Breakfast and dinner is certainly something to look forward to!
