My husband and I were on a camping trip when he needed to find somewhere for an urgent but lengthy business zoom meeting. We rang cuckoos nest to book a room for the meeting but they went one step better. Refusing money for a booking they offered access to the outdoor patio and dining area at no cost. As I was not part of the meeting I explored the beautiful and tranquil gardens and we were both able to order lunch and drinks. I will certainly stay here anytime we are in the area. Thanks so much

Wonderfull house and rooms. Beautifull garden with excellent views. The winecellar topped it all. Most welcoming owners that go out of their way to make your stay even more pleasurable. The highlight was a private tour on the family owned macademia- farm accompanied by the whole family and dogs and topped with a sundowner with magnificent views! We definitely recommend this place. Travelling with 2 adults and two teens.

What a beautiful oasis! Cuckoos Nest is like a home away from home, a lovely house nestled in lush gardens, that one feels is your own while you are there. 8 of us stayed there and really did feel like we were at home. We swam, enjoyed drinks in the garden and were served delicious dinners and breakfasts. The rooms were spacious, spotless and so comfortable. The staff were welcoming and so friendly.

Clarissa was brilliant with communication from the moment we booked until we were all safely back home after our trip and Mark really made us feel welcome and relaxed.

I would highly recommend this spot!

Reasonable accommodation but noise from room above was a nuisance. However the worse problem was there generator which would not start when there was load shedding between 6 and 8 pm . I looked at it for them but could not get it working.

They really need to upgrade it as the generator was old and the wiring was not good.

The staff were friendly and helpful but they were stressed by the lack of power.

After a flawless booking process, we were delighted to arrive at the imposing gates of this guesthouse. The most beautiful garden greeted us. We were warmly greeted as we drove up to the guesthouse and shown to our rooms which were comfortably furnished. The rooms were all upstairs so the stairs were a small challenge, especially with suitcases. Breakfast was served but was the least impressive aspect of our stay. We couldn't resist a walk around the gardens and the macadamia plantations before we left. We will return.

My colleague and I both pilots had a 6 day stay over here. The accommodation was excellent and our hosts Mark and Clarissa couldn’t have been more warm and welcoming . Food was great and the all the staff were friendly and attentive. Beautiful location in sprawling gardens - absolutely recommend this excellent establishment ! We were even given the use of a vehicle to pop into town at no cost- good old fashioned hospitality !

Wonderful place to stay, we stopped on the way to and from Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe as a place to stay before crossing the border. But would also be a lovely place to stay if visiting the area. Rooms clean and comfortable with lovely views of the mountains, good food and great wine cellar and pool room for fun times. We had a great stay and we’re well looked after. Peaceful and secure.

Cuckoo's Nest accommodation is very highly recommended. Reception was great, and Nomsa kindly agreed to prepare dinner at short notice. The meal was delicious.
The rooms are spacious, very comfortable and immaculately clean.
The pool area, bar lounge and beautiful gardens were a real treat and perfect for a relaxing late afternoon.
I highly recommend Cuckoo's Nest.

Truly amazing. The garden is beautiful and rejuvenating. The rooms are squeeky and it can be disturbing when the neighbors walk as you hear and feel it in your room.
Braai area was 10 out of 10. Friendly staff and complimentary water provided. Very comfortable. Will recommend and visit again.
