We staid in ths stylish lodge for 2 nights on our way to Mashatu (Botswana). The welcome by Percy was very friendly and professional. Both dinner and breakfast are very good as are the rooms. All public and private rooms are decorated with local art. We decided to do the Lake Funduzi tour the next day. Through our guide Musa we got to know a little more about the Venda people and their traditions. However, we were a little bit disappointed about the lake as we only saw it from very far. Upon return we also did a short hiking tour on the property itself (which is huge) to the big Baobab tree from where we had a fantastic view. A place to recommend.

We stayed at the Madi a Thavha for 3 nights and absolutely enjoyed it! The purpose of our trip was business and the place is a little oasis in the middle of the mountains, quiet and peaceful. The food was great and the staff is very friendly, specially Percy! They support local artists and offer a variety of activities to do like a cultural tour and a 35 minutes hike to their Baobab tree. If you are planning on traveling to the northern Limpopo area, Madi a Thavha is definitely the place to go!!

We stayed 2 nights in the lodge. We are a family of 6. The hosts were there any time to welcome us, give some information. We had a great walk by sunset, did the arts and crafts tour. That was absolutely one of the most unique experiences on our road trip. Food was superbe ! Staff was really so nice ! Highly recommanded !!

We've been there for the long Easter week-end to discover the Northern part of Limpopo. Madikwe a Thava is an old farm, lost in the middle of the mountains, which has been nicely restored with great rooms and suites. Each of them has it's nice unique decoration made of local craft and arts. Owners and staff are extremely friendly and always very happy providing you excellent advice to discover the area and places to visits. You can start from hiking around the farm or using one of the official guide from the lodge who will guide you through the Venda and Tsonga regions showing you all nicest places to visits. Lodges can accommodate self catering but they also have a restaurant which is serving excellent food. If you're looking for a quite place to relax and enjoy the quite of
