Let me start the review with the best thing about LukAfrica, which was the owners of the property i.e. out hosts Anita and Luke (Luke's LukAfrica), one of the friendliest hosts you will ever meet with.
We were a group of 5 families having 11 adults and 2 kids. We reached there around 5 PM on 24th December 2016, it was drizzling and the view of the place was awesome. We went to the main reception area through the orchard of fruit bearing Mango trees and were impressed by the level of cleanliness and maintenance of the property.
The reception area had a full fledged bar with a fine collection of spirits to keep your holiday spirit alive and a very lively music system where we played out choice of music and danced as well. Next to it was the common room with big screen TV, Pool table and the whole place is fully air conditioned. Door from Common room took us out to the Veranda which had a comfortable seating arrangement in place. Out side the Veranda was a lush green lawn cum play ground.

The hosts escorted us to the Chalets and we were glad to find the rooms very clean, air conditioned and fragrant. The washrooms were clean and the view from balcony was awesome as we witnessed a magnificent sunset with some hot coffee.

Opposite to the reception building was the Braai area, we had opted for breakfast inclusive self catering and the place had everything that one would need to enjoy a Braai or cook their traditional delicacies. Luke would set up fire every evening for us to use the coal for Braai and cook food in Poike pots.

The breakfast was awesome some nice omlettes, scrambled eggs and thai chicken was swesome and the vegetarians were not disappointed at all with a wide variety of cereals, fruits, muffins and sandwitches.

Our stay was for 3 nights and 4 days and visit concluded with a thrilling sighting of Hippos while having breakfast, What would me more exciting than seeing wild hippos in the river while having sumptuous breakfast at your table.

I would visit this place every year till my stay stay in South Africa and would love to take my parents there as well as it is an ideal destination for family holidays as well.

Thanks a lot Anita and Luke for making our holidays a well enjoyed and a life long memorable experience.

Anita and Luke are wonderful hosts, and made us feel right at home. As a couple travelling with a friend, we had booked a triple room, Anita kindly gave us a double and a twin room, as she had the space. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Both dinner and breakfast surpassed our expectations, and would not hesitate to go back. In addition, both Anita and Luke were full of wonderful suggestions of places we could stop on the way into the Kruger Park, which made our trip a lot more interesting.

We stayed one night at the lodge right after our landing in Johannesburg. The lodge was incredibly beautiful and the food was very good. We especially enjoyed sitting outside while having dinner! Breakfast was good too and the beds were really comfortable. Also the owners were more than polite to us.
10/10 would recommend!

Luke & Anita are just amazing, such a warm welcome by the lovely affectionate pair. The place is so soothing & enchanting.Away from rush n crowd, a beautiful place to relax. Luke is so friendly & humble, having a great knowledge of wildlife. Just became a fan of yours. Anita the lady with magical hands to prepare heavenly breakfast. The Indian dishes you prepared were so tasty.
The chalets are good with widened decks to relax. The quark of Zannet & grunting hippo around given a beautiful thrilling experience in night. The bonfire in boma, Tandoori chicken we prepared just filled our day.
The bar & lounge is so aristocrat. As host you people are so cool & just made us feel like home. The mangoes you have given filled with your love n affection, we will remember for ever. We found India in South Africa here.

Will definitely be back here soon. To experience the calmness, wilderness, the love & affection of Luke & Anita.

To keep it short and sweet, because its practically unimaginable for me to say this since I am a well outspoken person but this hidden jewel is an describable place to venture too.

Here you will find luxury accommodation with above and beyond service that meets all your needs to a high level of satisfactory. The main attraction is definitely the manage/owner himself, he is the real jewel of the place and makes you not only feel right at home but as if you are family.
I am so honored to have met such an extraordinary and selfless person.

This is a very rustic camp set in a very beautiful position on the route to the Kruger Park. It is clean and every inch is built personally with passion, love and care. Luke and Anita are such warm and genuine hosts and they served us wonderful homemade food under the stars in the Boma . They are an exuberant ,caring couple who provided the best personal hospitality that we have experienced anywhere in South Africa. It is difficult to give this a star rating as it is a very unique experience filled with love, care and passion beyond the ordinary.

Luke and Anita made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. They are hard to stop in making you feel as comfortabke as possible. The meals are great, varied and prepared with care. We enjoyed eating by the fire with the other guests in the 'Hippo boma' and having breakfast while enjoying the view and wildlife. Don't doubt whether you should book here. It's really worth your while.
