Nestled in a picturesque setting, Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge has been lauded for its exceptional location with breathtaking waterfront vistas and frequent wildlife encounters. Guests have called out the lodge's intimate atmosphere and personable touch, despite occasional remarks about room coziness. The amenities, including comfortable river-view accommodations and sumptuous meals, receive consistent praise. Many visitors commend the attentive and friendly staff, while the lodge's cleanliness and swift check-in process also earn rave reviews. While most find the rooms to be a haven of comfort and beauty, a few note them as slightly lacking in neatness.

This is one of the best lodges around Kruger that we have stayed at, and we’ve stayed at a few! The rooms are stunning and off the best wake up view of the KNP and river, the food is delicious and the hosts are knowledgeable and wonderful to engage with. The sightings from anywhere in the lodge is second to none. This venue will most certainly be a repeated stay.

This was our second visit to this amazing Lodge in 4 years and certainly will not be our last! It has a very intimate and friendly atmosphere as the maximum occupancy is about 22 clients (I think). The staff and owners are all lovely. They are on hand if you wish to have a chat and learn about the area… but not intrusive. The tents are extremely comfortable, the location is excellent for getting into Kruger as soon as the gate opens. We suffered a puncture on our hire car one morning and the staff inspected it to see if they could repair it, and when they could not, called ahead to a Tyre Company in Komatiport. The tyre was repaired within 20 minutes. The food is gorgeous and plentiful for dinner in the evening. The Breakfast packs provided if you did not stay at the Lodge for Breakfast we’re delicious and filling. The Home cook Breakfasts if you eat at the Lodge we’re very good and all freshly cooked to order. We had originally booked for 2020 and paid a 50% deposit. Then COVID struck. The Lodge were brilliant and understanding. They kept our deposit on ‘hold’ for us for over 2 years as we live in the UK. Do not hesitate in staying at this wonderful Lodge. You will not regret it. We already are looking forward to returning.

We stayed three nights in a suite with a private terrace overlooking the river. The view was magnificent and been able to view wildlife and beautiful sunsets from the comfort of your suite cannot be beat. After this stay we spent a few nights in huts in both Skukuza and Satara, and although the stay was enjoyable, it could match the one in the lodge. The hosts were very engaging and helpful and the food was great - we had three amazing braai dinners.

This was our second stay at the Crocodile Bridge Safari Lodge. And it was just as great as the previous time. Rooms are comfortable and very very clean. Hosts are so welcoming and caring. The facilities (including the pool) are so good. And the communal braai in the evening, with the delicious salads, potatoes and homemade bread provided by the lodge, is a wonderful way to end the day and share stories with other guests. But the best thing here is of course the view. The lodge borders the Crocodile River, so you are looking directly at the Kruger Park. We again saw lots of animals from our room, from the pool and from the deck. Elephant, rhino, hippo, etc. are all walking by. And lots of beautiful birds can be seen at the lodge as well.
The lodge is self catering, but as said, they do provide salads, potatoes and bread and the fore for a braai each evening. So you just have to bring your own meat and drinks (or buy drinks from their fridge). Each room has a coffee/tea station and own fridge as well. The lodge also provides a small breakfast bag that you can take into the Kruger Park, with a fruit, drink, muffin and yoghurt. Very welcome if you drive into the park at 05.30 and want to have a small breakfast on your way.
During our stay the corona virus started to spread in South Africa. The lodge immediately took precautions, like desinfecting arm rests from chairs etc. througout the day and providing hand sanitiser for all guests.
If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay for a very good price, book here!

Great comfortable accommodation with a view of Kruger Park, friendly staff and excellent food service. We could see lions passing by from the balcony and hear hippos grazing at night. Nice conversations with other guests at dinner and on the viewing terrace. We loved the breakfast packs they give if you want to set off into the park very early.

We booked for a week to get away and i can highly recommend the lodge, Value for money is great, you really get chance to rest, mingle with people from all walks of life as you all sit down together for the included Dinner every night. The owners\managers are extremely friendly and go out their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Will definitely book there again when visiting the Kruger Park in the future.....

This really is an incredible place to stay at. If you have any doubts whatsoever, take it from someone who travels to Africa on a regular basis, staying in accommodation from B&B to 5* luxury lodges, that you will absolutely love it here. You will arrive as visitors and leave as life long friends. The warmth and hospitality that exudes this little piece of paradise, will leave you wanting to return time and time again. The owners Allan and Michelle have moulded their lodge to perfectly suit the needs of all. The brai each evening brings people from all around the world together, where many stories and sightings are shared and friends are made. The side dishes provided by the lodge are incredible, so just turn up with your meat and alcohol and enjoy the evening, the beautiful views over the Kruger national park the lodge offers and the amazing night sky. To cook the perfect steak, we reckon it takes three beers :-)
The rooms are lovely, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is always plenty of hot water and the added bonus of air conditioning on hot, sticky nights. It is just a few metres to the gate of Kruger, where unlike the other gates, you present your indemnity form, ID and cash at one of the payment booths, meaning no need to get out of the car to stand in long queues. As visitors who are first in and last out each day, this is fantastic as we can be back in a room just a few minutes after leaving the park each day.
I really can't recommend this lodge enough, the value for money ratio is outstanding and as previously rehearsed, it really is one of our favourite places to stay...

The lodge is excellent value for money, with excellent staff and amazing views. It is close and convenient to Crocodile Bridge gate and packed breakfast can be arranged to allow early entry into the park. Food was excellent. Rooms were clean and attractive. Overall, a great experience.

We spent 2 days at this lovely, neat clean lodge. The hosts are so friendly that when you leave, they feel like family. The lodge is situated on the Crocodile River, where you can view all the animal activity.
The breakfast and dinner that is served is very well prepared and fresh. I can highly recommend this lodge.

Hi there, from what I remember the gates close at dusk. Well worth asking the hosts thought they are really friendly.

How do/did you arrange your trip into the safari?
Answer from
bern
We went by car coming from Johannesburg, which took us most of a day. If you plan to arrive late in the afternoon or even in the evening right in time for dinner, you should stop at some supermarket on the way and already buy some meat for the barbeque. We went on the safari with our rental car. The crocodile gaete to the Kruger is at walking distance (10 minutes) from the camp.
