We came for our third and fourth weeks and, as usual, loved every minute of our time there. The accommodation and food are great, the location is perfect and the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. Many, many thanks to Bruce, Ilsa, Geyser, Natasha, Wendy and the rest of the team! We hope to be back for a fifth visit next year.
This place was absolutely astonishing. To be greeted with such warm open arms and a bunch of elephants at the fence was something we will never forget. The facilities were great but the people especially Bruce were even better with a lovely family vibe at breakfast and dinner. Sitting in such a beautiful spot right on the crocodile river the sunsets were always amazing the conversion intriguing and knowledgeful. We had such a wonderful time that we will be back and be bring everyone we know with us. Thanks again to the staff for making our experience unforgettable.
All the other reviews are correct! Welcoming, clean, relaxing, quiet, convenient, good food, comfy beds, beautiful views. What was not mentioned were the resident dogs! I looked forward to their friendly greetings everyday, especially Jock’s 😻 We hope to see you guys the next time we’re in SA!!
What a fantastic location the hosts were excellent. The food was better than I get in some 5 star hotels. We will see you again soon. We arrived to see 8 elephants just in front of the property. We have stayed in and around the Kruger many times and this was the best
A unique proposition - a cross-section of nationalities and ages, gently encouraged to engage with one another over breakfast and dinner in an informal setting, sharing life experiences and the experience of the day’s game drive. The location is magnificent, on the river with views of elephant, crocodile and hippo; especially magical at sunset. The service is sterling, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Very convenient for self-drives into Kruger - we also opted for a morning game drive with Dylan. We benefitted from his passion for and knowledge of the bush; the bush breakfast that he whipped up was a bonus!
