Very comfortable resort at the beginning of the Kruger Park southward, the hotel is near to a river and it is made of 16 independent villas richly furnished with bathroom and shower facing the bush through glass walls.
Outstanding service it offers Safari Tours very well organised with competent guides that are always able to show the best in show of the wild.
Highly recommended.

The most AMAZING service, staff, food, and experience. We stayed at different lodges within Kruger and this was by far the best! I have a gluten allergy and they were beyond accommodating - made my own food menus, putting GF treats in our room, etc. They made sure our experience was exactly what we wanted. They allowed us to do the game drives later in the day when we wanted to avoid the cold. Sean, Shelley, Tobile, and Thomas were exceptional! Would recommend to everyone.

Could not have asked for a better safari experience - the game drives, meals and rooms at Lukimbi were excellent and far exceeded expectations. The rangers and trackers were very knowledgeable and their love and enthusiasm for the bush was infectious. The meals - in both taste and presentation- were of top quality and like fine dining in Johannesburg. The staff were warm and friendly, and their level of professionalism and service orientation was exceptional. It was clear that everything had been well thought out and organized, as there was no unnecessary waiting for any service. All Covid related safety protocols were carefully followed which also helped to put guests at ease and enjoy.

I visited Lukimbi for my third time last week and cannot speak highly enough about the lodge and experience. The staff make you feel like family and provide a 5-star experience from accommodations, service, food and game drives. The rangers and trackers (Julian and Stranger) are extremely knowledgeable and will work hard to seek out all of the amazing animals for your safari. If I could live here, I would!

The lodge is immaculate and makes you feel like you are staying in South Africa and not at a hotel. You receive personal letters from the staff. I was treated to a birthday dinner that was created by the staff and chef that was beyond my dreams. All of the personal touches just add to the sightings you see each day on your game drive and walkabouts.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this lodge. If you are considering going on safari, this is where you want to stay. You can fly into Kruger at Skukuza airport and taken to the lodge in Lukimbi. As Lukimbi is a concession in Kruger, you stay in the park 24 hours a day and ride on all roads (and offroad) and not the tarred roads for the public.

I promise that from when you arrive, Sean and Shelley will welcome you with open arms. The bartender Lyborn will smile each time he sees you and make any drink your heart desires. The individual lodges are immaculate with views of the river in each room (and bathroom) so you don't miss an animal sighting. The game drives are an experience of a lifetime.

We spent 3 nights at Lukimbi for the Easter long weekend and I am lost for words about this place. Everything from the location, booking, reception, our room, service from staff, game drives(our dedicated Ranger and Guide, Arie and Stranger), special food prepared specially for us by the Chef.... 😋 Not forgetting the peace and tranquility.

Will surely be back and will not hesitate to recommend it. We even received assistance with a tyre puncture on our way to the lodge. Excellent !!👌👌👌👌

This was our first ever Safari, we used an African Safari company who booked us into Lukimbi. We didn’t have a clue what to expect but I have to say we had the most brilliant of holidays. Our guide ( James) and tracker (Michael) were absolutely fantastic putting real effort into ensuring we had a great experience. We were very lucky to have great company on our jeep for the drives so that made the experience even better. The staff at the lodge were excellent very sociable but also ensuring you had your own space at meal times. Bartender Lyborn deserves a special mention as he made pre and post dinner drinks at the bar great fun. This place is a real credit to the owners and I would definitely recommend

The location and setting of the lodge is really beautiful. Very friendly and efficient staff and game drives were excellent despite the long grass and thick bush. The food was nice but nothing to rave about. Regrettably the normal rates are prohibitive for most South Africans but we were able to enjoy the current discounted rates.

Our return to Lukimbi was a much needed break and an amazing experience as always. The location is beautiful, the service exemplary and with very knowledgeable rangers to take you on the game drives and walks we had the most incredible viewings of wildlife. An unbeatable experience!

Simply amazing. Lodge managers Shelley and Sean greeted us on arrival with a refreshing, aromatherapy towel after a long drive and two delicious glasses of homemade honey, red bush tea. Every meal was delicious with fresh and perfectly seasoned vegetables, delicious fruit, and a choice of delectable entrees made with locally sourced ingredients. Our room was clean and spacious. Every room has a spectacular view of the river that runs behind the lodge. We frequently sat on our porch and enjoyed watching impala, monitor lizards, water buffalo, and one night a hippo visited the river. Our ranger (Sean) and tracker (Stranger) were incredibly knowledgeable. In three days, we had the good fortune of seeing the Big 5 and a variety of other wildlife and birds. If you are visiting Kruger, you HAVE to stay at this lodge. Fantastic. We are already planning our trip for next year.

The safari lodge overlooks a waterhole. The cottages looked rustic and were blending with the scenery, but inside was very well appointed with very comfortable beds, seating area, spa tub and shower. There was 2 patios overlooking the water. The glass windows extended the full side facing the water hole. The cottages were connected with a raised walkway and a ranger or staff accompanied guests to their rooms after dark. From the 5:30am wake up call till dinner, the days were filled with adventure. The service was outstanding, the food delicious, and the safari was great. Each and every member was gracious and tried to make our visit memorable.

Yes the safari vehicle was covered. They have blankets if it's chilly and provide water and the seats are very comfortable.
