Nestled amidst the lush vegetation in the South-Western corner of the majestic beauty that is the Kruger National Park. Jock Safari Lodge emerges at the pinnacle where the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers flow as one – a space for breath-taking wildlife sightings. The lodge with 6, 000 hectares of natural landscape offers guests one of the best Big 5 game viewing experiences in South Africa with its exclusive riverbed traversing rights. Traverse through this exceptional landscape on twice daily game drives as well as wilderness walks with highly experienced game rangers and witness an abundance of bird life and a staggering diversity of wildlife, including the endangered wild dog. Enthralling sightings of elephants, prides of lions as well as a sea of buffalo horns rising from the grass as they lie resting in the growing heat, awaits one. Rich in historical heritage, Jock is the first private game lodge within South Africa’s largest national park and was inspired by the well-known tale of Jock of the Bushveld by Sir Percy Fitzpatrick, a story of courage and loyalty set during South Africa’s first gold rush era. This colonial styled safari lodge offers guests a unique stay, showcasing elements of history, fauna and flora, tranquillity, conservation and fine cuisine in the 12 individual thatched suites at the Main Lodge or 3 luxurious suites at the nearby Fitzpatrick Lodge.

The lodge is advertised as 5 star but I'd happily give it 6. Everything was perfect for the 3 night stay myself and my wife had, The room was spacious, clean and had everything you could want. The double shower cubicle was huge. There was an outside shower and bath, sunbeds, plunge pool, patio table with chairs and even a meshed tented area on the end of the platform overlooking the river bed with a made up double bed in case you wanted to sleep under the stars. The lodge staff were amazing, friendly and nothing was too much for them, Evening meals were fantastic, two of which were Brais (BBQ's) on the river bed. The game drives were brilliant and our guide (not Driver!!) David, was really friendly and knowledgeable. We got the big 5 twice over. Will definitely be returning for

Jocks Safari Lodge is simply fabulous! We were with friends, stayed at Fitzpatrick villa and love every part of it. The staff were fantastic, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and food was good. One of the beauties of Jocks is that it's a private reserve within Kruger with no other people around. When we had sightings within the reserve, we were the only vehicle there. Our game experience is one of the best we have had since going on safari every year since 1985. We saw all of the big five, and plentiful, and our guide made the small things in the bush come alive. Our sightings of lions was amazing, ending with several prides gathered on our last night (females and all ages of cubs - about 30+) and then encountering two males vocalizing, who turned out to be the

Jock Safari Lodge is located in the heart of the Kruger national park. It’s amazing location gives you a unique and real safari vibe. The lodge itself looks so amazing, stunning rooms, restaurant and relax areas. When you arrive at the lodge you will be welcomed by the amazing staff, that will tell you what the planning looks like. The planning is really amazing, you will get so much food and drinks, on top of that 2 amazing safaris with the best rangers! The safaris are really something else, private routes and amazing storys. The staff and everyone is really amazing at the lodge, this is a must do experience!

We were lucky enough to have the Fitzpatrick villa to us for 5 nights with the lovely Charleze as our host! She and the whole staff of the lodge were amazing hosts. We really felt home away from home and the kids were so well treated. The location in the Kruger is amazing and the amount of wildlife that can be seen is quite impressive. The landscape is beautiful too. The pool is just so nice and very well located. You ca see a whole array of wildlife in the riverbed right close by. The kiddies game drive special activity was also a big hit with the kids. The food was also excellent and they really adapt to what you like (even for my little picky eaters). Wonderful place for a private family safari!

Stayed at Jocks for three nights for my wife’s 30th birthday between 18th-21st of December. Met by manager Phil on arrival who was very friendly and welcoming. Showed us to our amazing room overlooking the river, plunge pool, outside bed. Large bed with en suite and mosquito screen. Jock is run on a generator so load shedding wasn’t an issue which in December where A/C is a must, made a pleasant stay. We met our ranger/guide Jani shortly after arriving who was great for our whole stay! Staff around Jock were always attentive, fantastic and could not do enough for us. Safaris are at 5am and 4pm, Jani was always upbeat and welcoming at 5am and tried his best to find us the big 5. Which in the end he did. All meals were fantastic. They made a once in a lifetime trip well worth it.

Such a special place! Went with two boys, aged 11 and 8 who LOVED it. Our game driver was very good at what he did and the wildlife we saw was out of this world, literally big five every day!! Done a few safaris and Kruger has been by far the best so far! Food was great and so much of it, in fact almost too much! Staff and service was exceptional, lovely touch to have the management come and introduce themselves and make themselves known. Room was lovely and being able to sleep outside at night was very special. Would love to go back one day.......

We recently stayed here for 3 nights. We had read about Jocks and the strong recommendations. This place is better than ever expected, truly a magical place. The staff were exceptional, food 5 star and location amazing. The safari drives were also amazing and our guide IKE looked after us and was an amazing tracker. There are only 12 rooms so max 24 guest so you get to know the other guest without being overcrowded - the rooms are private and sit on-top of the river bank - you can watch the animals walking past from your day bed. Honestly this place is first class. We were self drive so easy access for Skuska airport or main Kruger gates. As it it a private lodge you get the added bonus of private areas as well as direct access to Kruger - truly amazing place and highly

Jock Safari Lodge has it all, incredible location, facilities and top notch service. Great location, it is in the park, which means you are out early to see wildlife and ahead of other. The location is on a river bed, which is a path for wildlife. Facilities are even better - check was in a safari tent that let us know we were in for a treat. Our room overlooked the riverbed and included a huge deck with plunge pool, an outdoor bath tub (yes a bath tub!!) and day bed where you can actual use to camp outside. Room had that safari ambiance with netted bed, living area and large bath. The restaurant and bar lodge let's you know you are on safari in SA with it local decorations, riverbed views, outdoor and indoor dining areas and bar areas. Staff was there when you arrive for

This place exceeded our expectations. We had read the reviews of others and thought the place would be great. It wasn't great, it was outstanding!! We had 3 nights staying at the lodge and went out on safari 6 times. My wife and I loved seeing the wildlife and saw a lot more than we expected. One of the other guests summed it up saying they had been on safari over 30 times at various lodges around South Africa and wider Africa and this was the best lodge and safari experience they had ever had. Patrick was our guide and he was outstanding. Great knowledge and working with the other guides were able to show us everything that the park had to offer. We saw it all and mostly very close!! The food, hospitality, quality of staff was all exceptional and 6-Stars! The
