The Management team and the staff members were very helpful and always friendly. We had a wonderful experience during our stay at the Lodge. We would recommend the establishment to friends and family.
From the time we arrived at the lodge to the time we departed (after extending our intended visit) our experience was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the super appointed, airconditioned luxurious 'tents', the wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, our excellent game-viewing with very experienced guides, languishing in the large infinity pool watching elephant splash in the water hole nearby....not to mention the delicious food. All in all a memorable experience which we look forward to in future visits.
Mdluli Lodge has a beautiful story behind it. Knowing this special story made us appreciate the whole experience even more. The staff are so warm and obliging. The food was excellent at all times. Attention to detail in the rooms was of the highest standards. Decor is beautiful. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. The setting of the lodge is stunning - especially the rim flow pool and the patios of the rooms. Covid protocols adhered to strictly. All in all a wonderful trip. Highly recommend
Had a wonderful stay. Despite the weather challenges had over 150 mm of rain one evening, we really enjoyed the time at Mdluli. The animal sighting where scares due to the rain but it was still so wonderful to see the Kruger so green and the dams full. The service levels were exceptional and the luxury tents extremely comfortable. The staff where so attentive to the Covid protocols. It made us feel really safe. Well done to the whole team.
Mdluli Safari Lodge is perfectly positioned, 6km from Numbi gate (closest to Nelspruit), but fully inside the Kruger national park. We received a warm welcome from Chris the manager (he actually picked us up at Numbi gate as the normally excellent road was under repair after the January/Feb rains). Thembi and other reception staff were very welcoming; Covid protocols were discreetly applied. Transfer to our room by golf cart by Luanda was seamless. We could then relax before our afternoon game drive. The 4:30pm drive with Nico was great - he has tremendous knowledge of the park and the animals. We returned at 730pm after enjoying a sun downer in the park. All the tents are aligned with a small river where animals frequently visit - the infinity pool opposite the river is the perfect spot to watch them. The word tent is not an adequate description of the accommodation. Yes the walls and ceiling are canvas, but the rooms are very generously sized with solid timber floors, sliding glass entry doors, full head room throughout, a huge king plus bed that was incredibly comfortable, a luxurious bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower. The classic glamorous camping experience. We enjoyed an excellent four course dinner (3 choices of main) and complimentary wine (or BYO with no corkage) . The nighttime chorus from the crickets was a beautiful lullaby to send us to sleep. In the morning we took a 6am game drive with Nico again - conditions were perfect, as was breakfast with cold and hot choices available. Taking a relaxing spa is a must during the day, also a swim in the infinity pool. The evening highlight was taking sun-downers on the granite monolith behind the Lodge. Drinks and snacks were organised by the staff, and we were taken over to by golf cart. On top of the rock a table and chairs were set up for us to enjoy a fabulous sunset! What a superb experience with endless views of the park. A perfect day was rounded with a delicious dinner again, with excellent service by Octavia. A big thank you to all the staff who made our stay so special.…
