Burchell's is old, but the chalets are kept in good clean condition. The surrounding area is lowveld bush and is not interfered with by humans. Access to the chalets is easy along well-kept paths and all chalets are separate unitd away from neighbours. The units are well fitted with all neccessary utensils and bedding and we noticed that the towels were really and in good condition.

We recently visited the Kruger Park and stayed at Burchell's Bush Lodge close to the Kruger Gate. The facility is very good value, spacious clean and comfortable, as we spend most time in the park. Proximity to the Kruger Gate means you can enter the park on opening. One needs to plan the day carefully to return to the Gate by closing time because of the vastness of the park.

Burchell’s Bush Lodge was a pleasant experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lodge is right outside the Paul Kruger Lodge, making it very convenient to go into the park. You can hear the hippo from the units and there is a lot of beautiful bird life at the lodge.

Very well equipped cabins. A nice pool area. Comfortable beds. The facilities of the Kruger Gate Hotel and the location at the Paul Kruger Gate make it an ideal place if you want to visit the park. We would habe liked some extra light around the parking area. It was quite dark

What an beautiful place for a memorable bush getaway. It is located within walking distance of the Paul Kruger gate and has all the amenities one could possibly want. The Boma is a great place for a family meal with a great variety to choose from.

Overall a great place to be We had never been to Kruger before so it was amazing to be so close to the Paul Kruger Gate. Really enjoyed our stay. I think Burchells need to be more clear as to where the Mini Golf etc is as we only found out on the last day it was in the Protea Hotel grounds which is within walking distance from Burchells.

Burchell's Bush Lodge is a great resort to get away from the city and into the bush. Love the sounds of nature at night and the lack of urban noises such as car engines. The proximity to Kruger Gate is a real plus factor as one can get into the park very quickly and enjoy the wonders of nature.

From morning side we left very early like 05:00hrs I was a very long drive but on the way there’s lots of adventures thing nice site seeing . The team I travel with was superb and understanding. Becouse it is about 04:50 hrs drives we had to have resting place and have lunch . As we get closer to the places we than have a network coverage problem and just remember the road drives in between the villages . Eventually we reach the place and it was as expected very welcoming receptionists and the place was very good . It is a chalet spread all over the yard but the receptionist did not take us to our chalet but just to direct us and that take us a lot of walk trying to find our chalet . Eventually we find our chalet and how beautiful the inside was , The double store chalet has a very nice setup .

We had a great stay at Burchell's Bush Lodge! Check in was easy, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The updates to the bathroom's and the new Aircon's make a huge difference - good job! Our unit was spick and span, the linen was crisp and white and the beds were very comfy - a great retreat after a long day in the park. Awesome Braai area for the evenings and the patio is great for your morning coffee with various buck grazing around you. All in all, we had lovely stay! we will be back for sure

The location of this resort at the Kruger Gate can not be beaten. Had a lovely time while staying at this resort. The newly upgraded bathrooms are a plus. Rooms are spacious. Everything you would expect of a 3-4 star resort.

No wifi. Cell phone reception is weak, too. One option is to go to the Paul Kruger Protea Hotel, just a short walk. Wifi (fee) to use and cell phone reception is good.

We booked entry online through the San parks website for each day of our stay. It is much safer to guarantee entry to book in advance. When booking make sure you take note of the entry TIME that you choose as they give out 2 hour slots. I would advise the early morning time for best game viewing 👍
There are more places to choose from in the Kruger National Park area.
