We stayed with our family with three older kids two nights at Nsele park lodge. We were welcomed by Olaf (the Bushman) and his wife Stephany. Nice and cosy rooms in bush style around a somewhat small swimming pool. Both the breakfast lunch and diner...More
We were visiting the Manyeleti game reserve, right outside the Kruger park and wanted to stay in a bush accommodation. My partner's mum is a travel consultant in South Africa, so she booked us in the Nsele Lodge. We self-drove through those terrible roads (they...More

No there is an extra charge for game drives. There are two types of sighting opportunities available (1) game drives or walks on the property - since they are on a conservation center that has many animals, and (2) game drives in Krueger park. I agree with others that going with the guide was worthwhile - Olaf's "helper" named "Akani" is excellent at spotting animals - he has an uncanny eye.
Olaf falls asleep at the wheel while driving (scary) - but fortunately Akani is there to nudge him awake
Make sure you make it a point to visit the white lion cubs who are at the lodge next door - priceless experience.
