My husband and I stayed at the Bush Pub for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. The property is really beautiful and green and you to have access to two pools which is great when the weather is 40 degrees. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Having a restaurant and bar on the property made things very convenient too!

This is a late reveiw, you know when you get back from traveling so much to do, anyway here are my thoughts. Although I only stayed one night, had a great stay, room was clean and well appointed, with easy access to car parking area and the bar. Staff were helpfull and we had some good conversations, food was good both Dinner and Breakfast, and of course the beers were cold. To top it all a couple of Honey Badgers turned up for dinner, bloody great. would I use the Bush Pub again certainly will, in fact the trip I have in 2024 will most likely put me there again.

With a walking safari starting in Klaserie the next day, we were looking for reasonably priced, close accommodation that offered comfortable beds and a good hot shower. The Bush Pub & Inn delivered exactly what we wanted, with bonus animal sightings and a tranquil bush atmosphere to put us in the right headspace. Unpretentious, friendly and relaxing. Having a few beers in the pub onsite was a great way to end the day too.

This Bush Pub is one of those places that exemplify the South African saying "Local is Lekker", meaning "Local is Good". You can see why all the locals enjoy this place and keep going back to it. It is surrounded by the African Bush, has your classic African bush style, a small pool to cool off in and ice cold beers. Although they did not have any craft beers available, they had most of South Africa's main stream beers available which are pretty good so we decided to grab one, have a seat and relax. We didn't have anything to eat, but the menu looked good with most of your classic pub items on it. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. If you are ever in the Hoedspruit or Klaserie/Timbavati areas, make some time to pop in and relax.

The facilities are top notch. It is located just outside the Timbavati Game Reserve (a part of the Greater Kruger and connected to Kruger National Park). The food is excellent. The staff are incredibly helpful and considerate. You might even hear lions roaring just over the fence at night.

We stayed here before and after a wilderness hike in the Timbavati area and had a good experience. The place has a nice holiday vibe to it, the pub being the main attraction. They serve good pub-food as well and probably encourage people to eat at the pub rather than attempt to cater for themselves by not having even limited self-catering facilities. There is a braai area that can be used and you can buy wood and starters from the pub, but you actually need to bring your own grid and tongs as they did not have tongs and their grid was fixed very high above the coals, so we needed a lot more wood than usual to braai a steak for 2. There is a room for the guests with limited facilities (drinking water, washing up basin, another fridge), but it wouldn't hurt to have a few extras there like a small two-plate stove, a few plates, some odd kitchen utensils, a few knives and forks. For people preferring a quieter stay the party-vibe at the pub can be a bit much. If you prefer to not hear the music coming from the pub, then room 5 is better than room 2. Your room has a bar fridge and a tiny kettle - I had to boil the kettle 3 times to fill a hot water flask. The rooms were clean, the beds had good mattresses, the bathrooms are nice but the shower heads in both bathrooms need cleaning or replacement. A wonderful place, down to earth and friendly. Nice pub food and beers. very good value for money close to the Kruger national Park. The place can be a little hard to find, but once there it's hard not to like it. The location is really in the bush, with all the sights, sounds and fragrances.

It was great staying at the Bush Pub and Inn; people were extremely nice and helpful, food (pizza) was yummy and not pricey. One could just hang at the pub after the game drives, the pub (as well as the rooms) is essentially right in the bush! Food and drinks were simply added to the room bill. We could book our game drives directly through the Bush Inn which was convenient and the game drives were awesome. look out for the monkies and the wild dogs.

During our stay at Swadini Forever Resort in December 2019, we decided to have lunch away from the resort and we heard of this small bush pub near Timbavate Game Reserve gate. What a nice experience. The best T-Bone ever and at a very good price. The ladies had some nice coffee which you do not often find in a pub and even the youngster enjoyed his food. Will be back next year, for sure.
