Raptors Lodge was amazing, far better than we expected. The location in the bush gave us a sense of peacefulness and relaxation because we could not see any of the other units around us. The unit and decor was stunning and very clean, absolutely no complaints and will definitely stay there when we are in the area again.

loved the apartment. its clean, fresh and cozy. their house keeping is excellent. the place is peaceful and quite, perfect for couples' that needs some quality time together. the kids rooms is outstanding too. i loved the private pool so clean and blue. definitely going back again for the second time this year.

Stayed here for a week for business. The property is very conveniently situated in Hoedspruit. Enjoyed the African bush sounds in the mornings. The property was well serviced on a daily basis, although some furniture slightly dilapidated and need of replacement. Overall good experience

We arrived around 3pm to collect our keys, the gentleman on duty took ages looking at papers saying we were only booked in from the next day, gave him our proof, still went through the papers, I asked to look, but he refused. He then range someone and eventually I spotted our surname on a piece of paper. He was looking at the check out date!!! WE only stayed one night, so cant really judge the place. Towels were hand towels, not a nice batch sheet, pretty frayed too. Not worth the price as it didn't include breakfast. Location Ok. The beds were too soft, woke up with back ache.

Although I had the feeling I will stand in front of a gate again that is closed as I had this experience so often and was right.... I started shouting for help (lol) and then everything turned around. The owner has had his phone cut off, and had to change his phone number. But when this hurdle was taken, Raptor s lodge was AWESOME. I got a beautiful room with everything you can wish for, the owner insisted on carrying my silly 35 kg suitcase up the stairs. He said he will do this in the morning for me, he really cared (but I felt it unfair and did it myself). It was an exception. Such a difference to the other places. He told me he has sugar birds/ sunbirds in his beautiful amazing garden. I could not believe that I saw 4 different types and could photograph them in just 5 minutes. This place made me happy again after truly awful experiences. The other guests all walked around the garden with a smile, too. I could have just stayed a full day there. It's a unique place and a unique atmosphere. I was about to give up my whole trip after I had to call the police on another hotel for criminal behavior and Raptor s lodge with the kind owner gave me the strength to carry on and feel happy again. We really did not enjoy our stay. I was an in an out stay as we came for a funeral. We had no water for bathing and using the loo. Management has come up with all sorts of excuses. Never experienced such .

Whilst the checking in experience was ok we stayed in a lodge which was at best average The Dstv didn’t work and took 3 days to fix The outside shower hasn’t been cleaned in a long time Whilst the staff did there best to help the unit in question had Daton a 500 grandstand seats with the residential area next door So sleeping was a challenge To do a overnight no issues for a long term stay think twice

Very nice, clean, affordable and private. No complaints at all. Very good value for money. Will recommend to all types of travelers including groups. Will return in July for part business and part leisure. Only think to add, please supply poker for braai as I could not find any in the lodge. Well done Raptors Lodge for enjoyable stay.
