We arrived from Hoedspruit airport using the recommended travel service from the lodge. It took us 30 minutes while seeing all kinds of wildlife already - from giraf (kamelepaerd), wildebeest (gnoe) to impala's. At the lodge we were welcomed by the staff with nice refreshing towels and a welcome drink. We were in time for lunch so could enjoy with...

We recently stayed at KwaMbili Lodge for three days & three nights in a tent. What an amazing experience. We unfortunately missed a day & night as our plane was unable to land due to bad weather. However the remaining days certainly made us feel we had been robbed of that extra day as it was hard to say goodbye...

We stayed 3 nights at KwaMbili together with our 9-year old son. Our first safari experience. We stayed in a tent (very comfortable) with outside shower. Just awesome experience ! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We felt like home. Food was excellent. We had a boma dinner and even a candlelight dinner at the watchtower. We enjoyed all of...

We stayed at KwaMbili lodge for three days in january. Our travel agent recommended a tent and it was wonderfull (happily enough not extremely hot). The tent was very well equipped and furnitures, a bit colonial style, which made it very attractive. Nice outdoor shower (private). And nice hearing all the bush-noises at night! Very friendly and hospitable staff. Good...

My wife and I, along with another couple, spent 4 nights at KwaMbili Game Lodge. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Our guide and tracker(Jacques and Eddie respectively) were informative, engaging and did everything possible to exceed our expectations. The outdoor tent was initially a bit intimidating, but I quickly embraced the experience. Living in the...

Unbelievable!!! We have never been treated with a warmer more personal service anywhere anytime. The people who work here makes you feel at home from the minute you get there. The food was incredible as well. The safari trips were fantastic, and Edward and Eddie were even more fantastic. In fact the staff at this place are as good as...

Stayed here for 2 nights and did 2 morning and 2 afternoon game drives. Ranger Jacques and spotter Edde did a great job managing to find the big 5 while explaining a lot about the animals and the environment. The camp is not luxurious, but perfect for us. It is well maintained and gives you a homey feeling. Small swimming...

We booked this while staying as guests at Sanbonani, so we hadn't done any research and didn't have any idea of what we were getting into. We're a family of 4 with two sons, 21 and 23. There were lots of questions .... Would we be staying in a tent with bugs, or snakes, or hyenas, or even bigger? Would...

KwaMbili Game Lodge provides an authentic safari experience at an affordable price. KwaMbili is siutated in the Thornybush Game Reserve near Hoedspruit, within the Greater Kruger area. The reserve is home to the Big Five as well as an abundance of other game and bird species. This means good sightings, either while out on game drive or on foot during bush walks. Back at the lodge, view wildlife from the safety and comfort of our well-positioned hide.
