Tshukudu Private Game Reserve is home to 2 Safari Lodges and borders the world renowned Greater Kruger National Park. The perfect combination of comfort and luxury in the heart of Big 5 territory. The 3800 ha reserve has magnificent views of the majestic Drakensberg Mountains and offers close encounters with nature's fiercest predators as well as the more gentle species and birdlife. Tshukudu Game Lodge is a 4 star, full board safari lodge, where guests are accommodated in 17 individually decorated chalets. Tshukudu Marula Camp is a 3 star self-catering camp and has 2 luxury, African style safari tents with en-suite bathrooms, 4 thatched cottages and 1 detached family unit. Get back to nature by joining us on one of our adventurous and safe activities. The most popular are definitely the early morning or late afternoon game drives. There are also a multitude of activities on offer in the Hoedspruit area. Tshukudu, being a Big 5 Game Reserve, provides the opportunity to spot a vast range of wild animals such as Bushbuck, Buffalo, Cheetah, Crocodile, Duiker, Elephant, Eland, Giraffe, Hippo, Impala, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Leopard, Steenbuck, White Rhino, Waterbuck, Wildebeest and Zebra as well as many other species. Not too mention the abundant flora and birdlife. We are involved in the public education and environmental awareness of our natural heritage, and our main priority is the protection of Rhinos. Tshukudu means Rhino in seSotho or seTswana (native African Language).

The overall experience was really great and met all expectations. The highlights were the game drives that we went on with Chris. It was truly an educational and once in a lifetime experience seeing the reserve through his eyes. We saw the big 5 and much more in all its beauty and some in great action, from the active hunting of a leopard to great Lion roars, and Cheetahs' looking for their mate.

It has been a pleasure to return to Tshukudu after more than one decade, I have been since ages an appreciative promoter of the Lodge in my quality of Travel Agen, mediating South Africa to European Visitors, mostly Germans. In the past century (I am since retired) i was frequently there, have been more than familiar with Ala and Lolly Sussens, the original owner's Family, and enjoyed unforgettable times at the reserve. After this sad period of lockdown, it was for me a strong desire to come back on my own memory lane. Thanks to the new Team at Tshukudu, which i strongly recommend to anybody looking for the real bush experience. Best regards Eleonore Dagnino.

What a incredible lodge in there only private game reserve!! We stayed here for two days but we regret we didn’t stay any longer. The staff is very kind and helpful. The game drivers are awesome and they have a beautiful own area with wildlife. Everymorning and afternoon they take you on a game drive to see al there animals. Our guide Tyler was amazing and knew so much about the animals and always went off-road for the best game view. It is a big 5 game reserve, unfortunately we didn’t saw a leopard but there cheeta’s are amazing! T Thank you so much for a lovely stay!
